MemberGood evening Juan and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us and providing your system information.
We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused by the missing information.
I would love to help you with this topic. This is currently logged as a bug and we are looking to release a fix in our next maintenance release.
The good news is that in the meantime, you could apply the following code snippet inside the functions.php file of your WordPress theme or Child Theme.

Let me know if that helps.

MemberGood evening Matthew and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.
Actually, the labels for the fields are not using our language files by default.
But, the good news is that you can change those labels to your liking by going to Events -> Settings -> Filters. From there, click on the downward arrow on the Event Category section and you should be able to use the label of your choosing.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Shawn,
Thank you for the answer.
I’ll be glad to help you get to the bottom of this in the present thread.
You are right, it looks like there is clearly a JavaScript conflict somewhere.
Just to make sure I can replicate your conditions:- Could you send me the exact copy of the twenty-thirteen version you are using (with the customizations and all) in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
- Could you tell me if your current plugin files have been modified (for example did you undo your changes to plugins/event-tickets/src/resources/js/frontend-ticket-form.min.js ?)
Hang in there as we try to fix this.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Rudrasen,
First I want to thank you for your feedback and letting us know that you would hope for better support on this specific issue.
This helps us improve. you are right, it is not a great answer.I totally understand how frustrating this can be for the end user. A fix height is clearly not an acceptable solution in your case.
Please know that we do try to provide solutions (even very creative ones) whenever possible. With that in mind, I decided to push my investigations further, and I believe I have found just what you are looking for here: http://www.bymichaellancaster.com/blog/fluid-iframe-and-images-without-javascript-plugins/
In short, adding these CSS rules to your theme and changing the following file to add the Fluidmedia class and remove the fixed height seems to do the trick: /the-events-calendar-eventbrite-tickets/src/Tribe/Template.php
Around line 72, try the following:https://git.io/vosc4
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Justin,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I was able to test your theme and the good news is that with the latest version of our plugins (4.2), the list view works perfectly.
That being said, I would still advise a backup of your database prior to upgrading.Would you mind trying the following steps both before and after that upgrade ?
- Go to Events -> Settings -> Display and change the default Display to list. Save your settings. Revert back to monthly and re-save your settings again.
- Go to Settings > Permalinks and save them again.
Let me know if that or the redirection plugin works for you.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

Thank you for the system information.
Would you mind telling me if the issue persists after trying one of my 2 suggestions ? (depending on your scenario)

MemberGood evening Stefan,
I am sorry to hear that this did not fix the issue for you.
I ran some additional tests and here’s what I found:
What is happening is that the organizer doesn’t seem to be assigned a language upon creating the event.
This is has been reproduced on my own site with twenty-fifteen and WPML 3.3.8In the meantime, I have found a work around.
Here’s the breakdown:- Create your event exactly how you are doing right now
- Once published, while you are still in the Edit Event screen, right-click on the Edit Organizer link and open the link in a new tab
- Once in that new tab, just save the organizer (which will assign a language to it) and everything should work smoothly
This is now logged as a bug. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned we will let you know as soon as it’s fixed!
Thank you for your understanding,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Christian,
I totally understand where you are coming from.
And you are right that there is a bug in 4.1.4, no argument there. What I am curious about is why the snippet does not fix it on your end, hence my suggestion about the PHP and WP upgrades.
I’m trying to rule out possible cause here. For the record, I have also tested the snippet with 4.2 and it works great too.
I believe your site at http://192.168.99.100:32769 is a test installation. After a backup, if you would not mind trying these upgrades, it would be awesome (and potentially very rewarding).
Thank you for sticking with us on this.
It’s really appreciated.Best regards,

MemberGood evening Rina,
Thank you for the screenshots.
It allowed me to conduct certain tests.I was able to create the event, after I did the 3 following things:
- Switch the event timezone to a city in Australia as opposed to GMT +10 (that should take care of the timezone messages)
- Changed the address format a bit so that it could be recognized by Google Maps as well (somehow shop2 is not going down smoothly).
Additionally, I would recommend upgrading to 4.2 if you haven’t already.
Let me know how that goes with these changes.

MemberGood evening Sumaiya,
Thank you for your reply and for the system information.
You are right, this is very odd.
I am noticing another issue with that event, however, and that is that when I’m on the events page and select the first date of the recurring event (a class), it takes me to the last date of the class. It’s only happening for the first class date; the other three classes in the calendar/list views all point to correct dates.
Actually when I follow your instructions and click on the July 12th entry, the link takes me to the expected July 12th entry (and not the August 2nd one).
Is it possible you have some kind of caching solution in place on your website ?As for the missing time related issue, I am still unable to replicate it on my end (but I am trying hard).
Would it be possible for you to (in a private reply):- Send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
- Send me a printscreen of your WordPress timezone settings
Additionally, could you try the 2 following things:
- Go to Events -> Settings -> Display and re-save your settings
- Go to Settings > Permalinks and re-save your settings
Hang in there as we try to figure things out
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Glenn,
Thank you for running the tests. I am sorry you were not successful in doing so.
To answer your questions, yes my test were conducted using a subscriber role alongside your theme files.
Is it possible that there has been at any point in time some kind of capability / permission plugin that adjusted the roles ?Wether or not that is the case, I would recommend using a plugin such as Members and looking at the subscriber role permissions on your install.
You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/Additionally, in a private reply, would you mind creating a subscriber role account for me so that I can look at things from the inside ?
Best regards,

MemberHi again Joanna,
I took a look at the Google Chrome console and there are a few several errors going on in some of your calendar related pages including the week view :-s
- Uncaught TypeError: j.bootstrapDatepicker is not a function(anonymous function)
- http://calendar.childmags.com.au/events/week/Array 404 not found.
I believe taking a look at your theme files will certainly help. But it also seems like there is a date picker JQuery conflict at play here.
My next recommended step based on that first message would be to use the following snippet from my colleague Brian: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/js-error-in-month-view/#post-1030331
It will probably not fix everything, but it will certainly help 🙂
Looking forward to move one step closer to resolution on all these issues with you.
Have a great day!
