    Hi!

Testing ET 4.1.4 and ET+ 4.1.3 to keep my sites up to date I noticed that when exporting the attendee list as CSV only name and email are now exported. There used to be more useful info in there, e.g. order #, order status, ticket type and ticket number (there were more but these are the fields I am interested in…)
Can we please get them all back? While you’re at it, please include the additional data that might be asked for when using ET+

This is related to these threads as well:

Good afternoon Christian and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You are right, that extra information provided in the CSV exports got lost along the way in updates.
As you already know, we are absolutely planning of bringing all the info back.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when it’s part of a maintenance release!

In the meantime, we are going to update the temporary snippet so that it also works with 4.1.4
Hopefully this can be done over the next couple of days.

Thank you for your understanding and for bringing this to our attention.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Good morning Christian,

You might want to check the following snippet to restore everything back until we release it in one of our upcoming versions.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for sharing the snippet!
Unfortunately it does not do anything for me. It appears that the ‘manage_tribe_events_page_tickets-attendees_columns’ action never fires, so the code is never called.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hey Christian,

That’s super odd since it’s been tested successfully. Thanks for reporting this back.

I have a couple of follow-up questions for you:

    1. Are you still using the previous snippet on top of this one ? If so, there is no need for that
    2. Would you mind sharing your theme / child theme files in a .zip link (in a private reply), so that I can run some tests ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

Thanks for following up on this.
I was using the old snippet as well, but removing that has no effect. The new snippet still does not work with ET 4.1.4 and ET+ 4.1.3 on my installation.

I have nothing against sharing my theme files, but I don’t see what influence they would have on this particular problem? I have just wrapped the snippet you provided in a plugin.

As mentioned in my previous post the hook ‘manage_tribe_events_page_tickets-attendees_columns’ is never activated in your code. I have searched the ET and ET+ code for it but there is no trace of apply_filter(‘manage_tribe_events_page_tickets-attendees_columns’) or similar…

    Best regards,
    Christian

    Hey Christian,

    Thank you for your answer.

The reason why I was asking for your theme files is because both the hook and the snippet work like a charm on my installs and on several WordPress themes.

So I am thinking that there might be something interfering with them either at the plugin level or at the theme level.

Additionally, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

As per your comment, this is actually not accurate, the hook is found in event-tickets-plus/src/Tribe/Meta/export.php

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Christian,

Thank you for all the system info of all the different installs you are using.
It is really appreciated and hopefully will help us find what’s going on.

These are fairly different environments on many counts (PHP version, plugins, themes).
The commonality between them seems to be WordPress 4.3.1 (which is a few versions behind). I am wondering if that has anything to do with it ?

    On your first install:

    • This might seem unrelated, but whenever you get a chance, I would recommend trying to update to at least PHP 5.4 (WordPress actually recommends 5.6+), because I have seen some odd behaviour with PHP 5.3.x
    • Officially, we do not yet support ET+ with WPML, but we are working on it. Kudos for making that work on your end.
    • Upon my exchanges with one of the other clients that is using Avada, I successfully managed to get the snippet to work with 4.1.4 with the same theme and child-theme. At first he was not able to make this work for him, but upon making a fresh copy, it did work for him. My best working theory for now is that to get the snippets to work, you might need to deactivate and reactivate the Event Tickets plugins.

    On your second install:

    • This would be the perfect candidate to test my best working theory.
    • Additionally, after a backup and if you don’t mind, you might want to try updating WordPress to at least 4.4.2 + to see if that changes anything

Let me know how that goes so that I can report this to our Dev team.

Best regards and thanks once again,
    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

Just to clarify, installing Event Tickets Plus version 4.1.2 and Event Tickets version 4.1.3 on the first, “non-working” system (instead of ET+ 4.1.3 and ET 4.1.4) makes everything work as expected – all information is exported in the CSV. That is why I have a tendency to suspect the new versions of ET and ET+ for messing things up 🙂

    Good evening Christian,

I totally understand where you are coming from.
And you are right that there is a bug in 4.1.4, no argument there.

What I am curious about is why the snippet does not fix it on your end, hence my suggestion about the PHP and WP upgrades.
I’m trying to rule out possible cause here.

For the record, I have also tested the snippet with 4.2 and it works great too.

I believe your site at http://192.168.99.100:32769 is a test installation. After a backup, if you would not mind trying these upgrades, it would be awesome (and potentially very rewarding).

Thank you for sticking with us on this.
    It’s really appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
