Good evening David and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your question.

Appears from our research this is no longer an issue.

    That is absolutely correct.

I would like to bundle Event Calendar Pro, Community Events and Filter Bar. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, currently this specific Bundle is not available.

But, I think it would be great if our customers could make up their own bundles.
As such, I will relay the suggestion to our Product director. I am sure that would be a very popular feature.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Is there any other question I could answer for you ?

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Jessica and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the confusing label.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The simplest way to achieve that would be to use the following snippet in your WordPress theme / child theme functions.php file: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Myla and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fact that you are unable to add the widget after the update.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, you might want to try going to Events -> Settings -> Display and set Events template to default page template OR if that’s already the setting, simply re-save that page.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Bon week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Philippe,

Thank you for writing back and for letting us know this is not a good experience for you.
    I’m really sorry about that.

Thank you for the invitation to log in. Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability.

With that in mind, I would still like to help you make this a better experience for you.

Full disclosure, we are currently working at improving our WPML compatibility. But, as is, we should be able to get things working fairly well for you for the Events Calendar.

I don’t understand setting up with WPML process. I don’t see plugins for WPML .

You should be able to download the companion WPML plugins here (translation management and string translation): https://wpml.org/account/downloads/

Furthermore, as I was looking at your system information, I noticed that it seems to cut off. Would you mind re-sending it again with the complete screen content ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Glenn,

    Thank you for fixing this.

I logged in with the subscriber account you created and I was able to see the featured image button (see screenshot)

    Submit_an_Event

Are you able to see this as well ?

    Have a good week-end,

    Good evening Scott,

    Thank you for your answer.

In the past, I’ve set up a blog feed into the static home page (but had to duplicate the ECP event content in a blog post to do that), since the theme I’m using has that functionality built in. I wonder if it would work with the ECP events also.

That’s a great question which does bring us back to the previous Include events in main blog loop checkbox.
It all depends how you integrate the blog feed in a static home page.

If you do so by calling the normal WordPress blog post loop, using the above checkbox will integrate events intertwined with normal blog posts. This means that you would not need to create a duplicate “normal” post for each event.

If you want to test that, you could temporarily check that checkbox and set your home page to Latest Posts (instead of a static home page). Provided that you have created at least one event, this should work.

Based on what you have already told me about your theme, it looks like it is not using the default WordPress blog post loop to display the blog feed.

Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

If we (or the theme author) could tweak that, it would be the simplest solution.

OK, I found out how to upgrade PHP to version 5.4 but the dialog box that came up has me concerned, since I’ve never done this before. Is this common?

I totally understand why this message can be scary. Yes this message is pretty standard.
Basically it’s a huge disclaimer for liability purposes.

Whenever I have to do something like that, I like to research if it is possible to revert back to the previous version if anything goes south (probably a question for GoDaddy support) and I make a backup of the database + the wp-content folder + the wp-config.php file (just to be extra sure).

The disclaimer is there because sometimes it doesn’t go smoothly. But in my experience it’s pretty rare and the payoff is certainly worth it.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Shawn and thank you for writing back,

I can totally see the error on your website.
Unfortunately, I am still unable to replicate this on my end.

Here’s what I think our next steps should be:

    • After a backup of your database, would you mind trying to see if updating to the latest versions of our plugins makes any difference ?
    • On my end, after the weekend, I would like to get a second opinion from our Dev team on this.

Let me know how that goes.

    Have a great weekend,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Andrea,

That is a great question. The short answer is that we are looking to release this in the current year.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point.

Rest assured that this is not because of sheer mysteriousness, but rather because there are a lot of variables at play.

Stay tuned to our Twitter feed, Facebook page and blog for more info.

In the meantime, you can add your vote here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3685663-recurring-event-support-for-tickets

Best regards and thank you for your understanding,

    Good afternoon Sumaiya,

Thank you for your answer, your awesome collaboration and the files.

I’m a bit puzzled by the redirections popping up seemingly out of nowhere.
As you might know, the Events Calendar actually relies heavily on all sorts of redirection to work properly. I’m just not sure how these are ending up in your redirection plugin logs (if I understood you correctly) ?

I will  run a bunch of tests with your files and try to replicate. I will get back to you on Monday with my findings (as we are unfortunately closed on weekends). Let me know if you come up with anything on your end as well.

    Have a good week-end,

    Good afternoon Joanna,

Thank you for the reply, the info, the files, the good words and the full disclosure.
    It is super helpful.

I will have to run some tests on my end with all of this information and get back to you on Monday (we are closed on weekends).

But in the meantime, rest assured there is no judging going on here. We mostly want to help 🙂

    Good afternoon Glenn,

Thank you for checking the definition of your roles.

Normally the subscriber role should work even with just read.
Unfortunately the subscriber credentials you gave me did not work 🙁

Would you mind trying them on your end so that I can check things out ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good morning Juan,

I am sorry to hear about the crash. As you found out, it’s probably because you added the opening <php statement.

But I’m super glad that the snippet worked for you. You will be contacted as soon as the fix is within the plugin itself.

You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great week!
