Good evening Allan and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Is it possible to bring ticket creation to the frontend as well? Which functions/codes should I use?

Yes it is. This is accomplished via the use of the 2 following add-ons:

    1. Community Events: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/
    2. Community Tickets: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/community-tickets/

Also, is there a way to set ticket Sell Using to WooCommerce as default?

I believe my colleague Brook has just what you need: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/possible-to-remove-rsvp-as-a-ticket-option/#post-1102859

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Avinash and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We apologize for not getting back to you sooner.
Please note that we are closed during weekends.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues displaying Google Maps properly.
I would love to help you with this topic.

First off, if you haven’t already, I would recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/

Secondly, can you confirm if you are indeed using a wildcard Google Map API on your install ?

Thirdly, would you mind sending me a screenshot of your Events > API settings screen as well as your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Finally, as the thread you are referring to suggests, there has been significant changes about these APIs since June 22nd. I would recommend contacting their support as well.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Fred,

    Thank you for writing back.

Actually, the good news is that there are indeed 2 opening and 2 curly brackets in the CSS rule found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/mobile/#post-1142845

    1. Opening bracket #1 is after the “… 767px) {“
    2. Opening bracket #2 is not easy to spot. It’s at the very end of line 2 “…#tribe_events_filters_wrapper.tribe-events-filters-vertical {“

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon W David and welcome back,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the follow-up campaign not triggering after the purchase of a ticket. I would love to help you with this topic.

First off, we do believe that WooCommerce Follow Ups is a great plugin. Our understanding is that it will become an even better plugin over time.

With that in mind, I have a couple of follow-up questions to pinpoint what the issue is:

    1. Can you tell me how the ticket WooCommerce order is set to “Complete” currently ? Manually ? Through a snippet ? Via a plugin ? Automatically after a payment ?
    2. Can you tell me if there are any snippets or customizations on your WordPress theme (via functions.php or a /tribe-events/ folder) ? Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
    3. Are follow-up emails being properly generated for other types of WooCommerce related events at this point ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Marlean,

This is very interesting indeed. Thank you for running these tests.

Can you tell me what happens if you try re-saving (updating) the faulty pages ?
Please make sure you empty the cache after.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Mindie,

Thank you for writing back and for providing the requested information.

Thank you also for bringing that second issue to our attention.

I have tested and reproduced the default tax status being to taxable on my install.

The good news is that this led me do to a bit of research.

I found the following snippet from my colleague Brian which I believe is exactly what you are looking for: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/tickets-taxes/#post-1084258

Currently, this inconsistency happens arbitrarily. We now have to count the attendance for every event to identify inconsistencies. When we find one, each individual order must be checked to see where the mistake was made.

    Why is this happening?

I am very sorry this is happening on your end.

For the moment, I was not able to reproduce this on my installs.
But, I do have a couple of questions to try to establish why this happened and most importantly, solve this:

    1. Is is possible that you are using the “Try to set order to complete” setting under Events -> Settings -> Tickets ?
    2. Could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
    3. Have you, at any point, tried to edit the stock count or the ticket info while the faulty tickets were on sale ?
    4. Can you recreate this issue with a brand new ticket on your end ?

    Hang in there,

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Melissa and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fact that you are not receiving notifications.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, without knowing exactly what your configuration is, I would recommend installing and configuring the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

Basically, this lets you use a valid email address via SMTP as a sender of all of your WordPress notifications. For a lot of customers, this works perfectly.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Philippe and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the language selection menu disappearing on all events pages.
I would love to help you with this topic.

First and foremost, just to clarify, WPML is compatible with the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro.
The only thing that is not at this point are recurring events. But that will change very soon.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, can you confirm if you already went through the following documentation on how to use WPML alongside the Events Calendar ?

    Good afternoon David,

    Thank you for the info.

Based on the screenshot you have given me, it does look indeed like there are options missing on your end in the iCal import (in spite of the fact that your plugins look up to date).

I am not sure why that is the case, but the 2 most likely causes are:

    1. Something in your WordPress theme that is conflicting / needs updating – hence my suggestion of sending me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end.
    2. Something went wrong in the plug-in upgrade process. I would recommend removing the iCal import plugin completely and re-installing it.

Hang in there as we try to figure this one out!

    Best regards,

    Good afternoon Kevin,

Thank you for running those tests.

As promised, I reached out to Dev on this and here are some of their ideas:

The issue is the map div is getting a weird id (‘tribe-events-gmap-Username *’) which will prevent the correct loading of the map. This seems to be conflicting with the theme

In other words, it looks like your theme is using some customizations (through it’s /tribe-events/  folder or functions.php file). It is highly possible that these are in need of updating to run smoothly with our plugins.
At this point, I would recommend either:

    1. Removing that custom id generation from there
    2. Temporarily reverting to a default WordPress theme (such as twenty-fifteen) to see if the issue still persists

From there we can tackle the double script potential issues.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Marlean,

Thank you for writing back and for the files.

I ran some tests with your theme and tried to include a Youtube video in an event.
This displayed perfectly on my end (even without the snippet) I shared with you.

Just to make sure we cover all bases here, can you tell me if you added the video by just pasting the URL in the Visual editor ?
Perhaps you used a different method (Visual Composer, shortcode, etc…) ?

Finally, if you haven’t already done so, perhaps you should consider emptying the cache (in case that helps).

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Hello David,

    Thank you for writing back.

Actually, I might have a solution for you. Could you try the following CSS rule instead of the previous one ?

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .tribe-filters-open #tribe_events_filters_wrapper, .tribe-filters-open #tribe_events_filters_wrapper.tribe-events-filters-horizontal, .tribe-filters-open #tribe_events_filters_wrapper.tribe-events-filters-vertical {
    max-height: 384px;
    }
    }

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
