Good afternoon Timothy and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the site crashing on you. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

At this point, it is hard to say for sure what is causing this. But the system info will help.

Secondly, after a quick database backup (GD can help you with that), you can safely delete your the Events Calendar plugins and reinstall them from scratch. There will be no loss of data.

The latest version of the plugins can be found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Stacey and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you have experienced while updating the plugins to the latest versions. Yikes!

I would love to help you with this topic.

For the record “Schedule multiple events” is the new name for “Add another rule”.

As a next step, after a database backup, could you try the following ?:

    1. Make sure all caches are emptied and that WP Super Cache is shutdown
    2. Upgrade only the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro (not Community Events)
    3. Try deactivating and reactivating the Events Calendar Pro plugin.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Jake,

You are right! My apologies, this snippet is limited to the single day view.

We actually have a better solution! https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/removing-export-links-event-views/

You can also try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox for now:

    .tribe-events-ical, #tribe-events .tribe-events-ical {display: none !important}

    Best regards,

    Good evening Simone,

    Thank you for writing back.

My apologies for the confusing aspect of my last reply.
This was certainly not intended on my part.

Let’s try to make this better.

I would like to add some text to the email which is send to the consumer after confirming the RSVP

    Post Link:https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ticket-sales-thank-you-page/#post-1217135

Perfect. You simply need to add the code snippet to your theme’s functions.php. However, it will not be necessary to add the opening < ? php statement (since it’s already in your functions.php file.

As I do not know if all our consumers around the world know the term “RSVP” (which I actually did not before)
I would like to change it to something different. Is that possible?

Yes, you can do this by adding the following snippet to your theme’s functions.php https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/change-admin-rsvp-text-to-another-text-string/#post-1212742

I would like to change the color of the lines of the table containing the rsvp (as my oberall settings are black lines on black background to make them invisible) But for the specific table I could not find the correct # or div to change them to something visible.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .tribe-events-style-full .tribe-events-tickets td {
    border: 1px solid #000;
    }

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Bonsoir Thierry,

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Neil,

Thank you for the additional information.
This will certainly help with my investigation.

I am sorry to hear that, to boot Google Maps are not showing up on your imported events.

As I am working on this, I will need to ask a few additional questions just to make sure I follow all the way through.

Thank you for your patience as I am doing this.

Here are a couple of them:

    1. Could I have a screenshot of a the scheduled import settings (I am guessing all of your scheduled imports have the same settings) ?
    2. Could you tell me if there is any of these imports that seem to be more problematic than others or are the duplicates spread across all of these imports ? From the screenshot, I can only tell that midnight shift is creating these duplicates
    3. Can you confirm that all of these duplicates were actually created prior to the latest release of our plugins ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening George,

Thank you for running the tests.
I am sorry this did not yield better results.

You are right, the message from the log does not say much unfortunately.

I totally understand how this can be very frustrating for you.
We really take pride in doing all we can to help customers fix issues they might encounter as quickly as possible.

However, as you know, the scope of our support prevents us from performing any direct changes on a client live web site.

You can read about these here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

We are usually able to solve things quickly after a couple of exchanges with our customers.
We are sorry that has not been the case here and we apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

Exceptionally, when the troubleshooting (including the testing for conflicts) does not work out, we can sometimes resort to hands-on testing, but only on a staging site.

To make a long story short, at this point I would like to offer to escalate this to a new pair of eyes . That might help spot something we both overlooked and hopefully move closer to a resolution of this upgrading issue.

Hang on as I do that for you.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Modar,

Thank you for running a test with the snippet.

Based on what you are saying, there is something I have been meaning to ask you.
I noticed you mentioned several times that you are adding products directly to the cart (shopping basket).

With that in mind, I would like to recap the situation for clarity’s sake:

    1. You have decided to bypass the normal event views for styling reasons.
    2. You opted instead for a custom and clever approach of using pages and add the tickets to the cart directly
    3. Because of our built-in “Try to set order to autocomplete”, the tickets were issued before actually completing the purchase order
    4. Shutting down that option leaves the ticket order status to “processing” (which is normal default behaviour)
    5. Your third-party customized auto-complete plugin is unable to automatically change the order status to “complete” on your tickets
    6. Using a 100% discount code after adding the snippet I just shared does not help with the auto-complete plugin’s ability to automatically set the order status to “complete”.

As you can see, there are many things at play here, hence my recommendation for a staging site.

This leads me to a couple of follow-up questions:

    • Does the autocomplete plugin work properly for other products that are added to cart directly (not tickets) ? Is that also true when you are using a 100% discount code ?
    • Does the autocomplete plugin work properly (without the snippet in place) if you buy a ticket through the normal event page process ?
    • Does the autocomplete plugin work properly (with the snippet in place) if you buy a ticket through the normal event page process ?
    • Did any of this work properly with a previous version of our plugin ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Belinda and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the discrepancies between different browsers with the list view your website.

I would love to help you with this topic.

The list view is very nice in Safari and chrome but in firefox the images are full size. (see screen shots)

I went ahead and tested http://cdw.thedesignweb.com.au/events/list/ on Firefox and I am unable to reproduce the issue. Did you change anything since you posted this thread by any chance ?

Another issue is the lining up of the event name and the address below (see mobile screenshot)

For this point, I am not exactly sure what you mean by that. Could you expand on this ?

How would you expect the display to be ? Which mobile device are you using ?

In any case, some @media CSS rule will probably fix this once I know a bit more.

I’m also having issues with the date picker (I did open a different task for that, but not sure I explained myself properly)

I will let my colleague Cliff handle this with you 🙂

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
