MemberGood afternoon Brian,
We just released a version where several improvements were made to the language files.
Would you mind giving it a shot and letting us know if this is satisfactory to you ?
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Robert,
I am sorry about the delay answering back.
Somehow the fact that this ticket’s status is “pending fix” made it go under our radar.In any case, we do support PHP 5.4+ .
To clarify my colleague Brook’s statement, I do not believe that this is related to the PHP version itself.What we know for sure is that this impacts our users with GoDaddy web hosting and, that in certain cases, this started happening right after a PHP update.
For now, it’s only a correlation, not necessarily a cause.
Until we pinpoint the exact cause, it is anybody’s guess.It could be the package of a certain PHP version, certain GoDaddy security settings interfering, or something else we are not aware of.
We are actively working on a fix for this and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime, if you want to see if changing PHP versions helps, you are more than welcome.
However, depending on the plan you are on, I would advise caution. Sometimes it is not possible to revert back to a previous version after such an upgrade.Hang in there as we fix this and let us know if you find anything on your end.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Wijnand and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.We want on our website two calendars that work separately from each other.
We have now one page with different calendar items but we want one calendar for People inside the city and outside the city.I believe you will be interested in the following article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/can-you-have-multiple-calendars/
Simply put, you could “cheat” and achieve exactly what you want.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Katherine,
Thank you for writing back.
I would still advise a database backup (to be extra safe), but the short answer is no.Deleting our plugins does not delete current entries.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood afternoon Martha and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same issue as Eric.
I would love to help you with this topic.I would like to apologize for the inconvenience this glitch might have caused so far.
The good news is that we do have an upcoming fix pending release. At least for the event import aspect of things.
You will be notified as soon as the fix is out.
In the meantime, you could use the workaround I provided here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/i-have-display-google-map-on-by-default-in-my-main-aggregator-settings/#post-1230339
This will force the display of Google Maps regardless of the Google Maps setting.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Keith,
I take it that changing the setting to “Full Styles” had no impact.
I would still recommend keeping that setting.I totally understand that you might not be able to share a URL.
That being said, depending on the theme you are using the CSS rules I will provide you with might not work as a result..tribe-this-week-widget-day-wrap {
background-color: gray;
}.tribe-this-week-event {
border-left: grey;
color: blue;
}.tribe-this-week-widget-wrapper .entry-title {
color: red;
font-size: 26px;
}.tribe-this-week-widget-wrapper .tribe-this-week-widget-day .duration {
font-size: 10px;
}.tribe-this-week-widget-wrapper .tribe-this-week-widget-day .tribe-venue {
font-size: 15px;
}Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Stefan,
I am super stoked that you were able to get the tickets to work as they should.
Just to clarify:
- Is that new system a replacement for your site or simply a staging/testing site ?
- Are the 2 systems identical ? (perhaps this could be compared using the system info from that new system)
- Did you perform the testing for conflict procedure ? And if so, did you find anything ?
Finally, one thing that is worth a shot if the 2 systems are identical would be to try reinstalling our plugins from scratch (after deleting them).
Hang in there!

MemberBonsoir Florian,
Google Maps API warning: InvalidKey https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key
Cordialement,
Geoff B.Geoff B.

February 8, 2017 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Mini Calendar – Language problems (links&translate) #1231839Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Erik,
I am glad you have made progress on your install.
Kudos on that!Is it always desired to change to directory based when setting up languages for new sites, maybe?
In my opinion, the answer is yes.
Either that or using different domains for different languages (which WPML also lets you do).
The ?lang= approach is not bad per se, but it does not allow proper handling of more complex usage. Furthermore, it is pretty terrible SEO wise.
I did have some problem after saving my permalinks, no pages on my site would show, however deactivating and reactivating WPML solved that. It has happened once before, so I knew that was somehow combined. If anyone else stumbles across that.
Thank you for sharing. That is also partly caused by WPML’s recent addition of WPML cache.
Another way to fix this is to head over to WPML > Support > debugging page.
There you will find several cleanup buttons to solve such issues if you ever bump into them.As for your last issue, I believe this might be related to some recent issues we have experienced with the German language files.
At this point, I would like my colleague Andras to pitch in since he knows a lot about this specific topic. Hang in there as I do this for you.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Joseph and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the double venue glitch creeping up on you! Yikes.
I would love to help you with this topic.On my end, I have not yet been able to reproduce this, but I am totally interested to be able to.
Would you mind providing me with a screenshot of your Edit Event screen and of the info you enter in your location/venue field (in a private reply) ?
Hang in there.

February 8, 2017 at 7:02 pm in reply to: WPML Translated Event Title does not update Event URL #1231832Geoff B.
MemberHello again Lorraine,
Since you are new to the product, if you have not already, I would highly recommend reading:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/
If you do follow these steps, you are right. The URL (slug) does not get automatically updated after you click on “translate independently”.
But, you can absolutely change it at any given point in time. Just make sure you do so in the “master” event.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
Geoff B.Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Lorraine and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the custom list not being translatable with WPML.
I would love to help you with this topic.I just tested this and I was able to reproduce this. It probably means that this output is not being registered as a WPML translatable string.
I have opened a ticket to make sure this gets addressed.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point.But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.
In the meantime, you might want to try using a shortcode based approach as explained here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/conditional-language-shortcode/
Thank you for your patience as we see this through.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
