Translation of bespoke country list with WPML

Hi
In English, I have limited the select list for venue locations to these countries
England
Wales
USA

I would like to translate these values to Welsh, but the country list is not found by string translation, and it’s not a taxonomy.
Where should I look in order to create a welsh language country list please? It’s on a development site at present so not much to see. Thanks!

We are sorry to hear about the custom list not being translatable with WPML.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I just tested this and I was able to reproduce this. It probably means that this output is not being registered as a WPML translatable string.

I have opened a ticket to make sure this gets addressed.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point.

But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.

In the meantime, you might want to try using a shortcode based approach as explained here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/conditional-language-shortcode/
