MemberGood evening Shannon,
Thank you for writing back.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
I have reason to believe you might be using an older version of our plugins, which would explain why your screens are different.
The other thing I am noticing is that you are sending a screenshot from the Events Manager plugin (which is not affiliated with the Events Calendar). Perhaps this is where the confusion comes from ?
Regardless, I am trying to put a button on a landing page that will show the ticket options in a pop-up window. Even if you give me the php to display the ticket, I can create my own shortcode ?
There is no built-in way to achieve this, but there are a couple of things you could try:
- Try using the default WooCommerce product shortcode
- Try using a custom template. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Ryan,
Thank you for writing back.
I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
In other words, it is recommended to make a complete database backup to be safe, but you should be able to deactivate and delete your current plugins without impacting the existing events.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Daniel and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. You could always do a view (template) customization.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.More simply, try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
.tribe-events-list-event-description, .tribe-events-list-photo-description {display:none !important}Also, another nice feature would be to have events display in neat/clean rows in the photo/list/daily view, like the homepage of meetup.com It’s easier to browse even rows. This would be a great option.
Here is a nice tutorial on this: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-photo-view-to-equal-height-grid/
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Frank,
Thank you for writing back.
It seems like the system information did not make it through, unfortunately.
Could you please paste it in a private reply for now ?That being said, there are 2 places that might enable you to tweak the display:
- /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/views/meta.php
- /the-events-calendar/vendor/tickets/src/views/tickets/rsvp.php
Simply moving elements around should cut it.
Let me know how that goes.

I would like to help you with this.It looks like your theme is using an older version of isotope.
Since we recently upgraded the version isotope used by our plugin, this is probably conflicting. The solution would be to dequeue that version of isotope for at least the calendar related pages or archives OR to downgrade our plugins to version 4.3.5.
I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Mister,
I ran this by our other coding wizards and was asked to open a specific ticket for this, since there was no obvious reason for that behaviour.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted as soon as the analysis is completed.
I am also keeping a follow-up on this to run it by our WPML coder when he returns during the first week of April.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening wenjyun,
Thank you for taking the time to write back.
I would like to answer your follow-up questions.
So you are saying both issues that I am having is due to the default design of the plugin?
Yes, I am saying that the default design of the views does not seem to be matching the specific requirements of what you are trying to accomplish.
In order to make it the way I am looking for, we need to do customization?
Yes, and this is something we are actually excited about.
We made sure to build our plugins in such a way that it is simple to modify the different views to fit your exact needs.Do you have manual / documentation to make these changes?
Yes we do. You might want to read our Themer’s guide ( https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide ) to get a sense of how that works.
Simply put:
- You find the file of the view you want to create and download it.
- You edit this file to your liking (you can even borrow code from the other views – e.g.: the Google map link)
- You create a /tribe-events/ folder in your childtheme’s or theme’s folder
- You upload the modified files in that folder as per the themer’s guide paths
You could even completely disable the mobile views altogether with mobile breakpoints if you choose to do so.
If coding is not really your thing, you could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Let me know if you need help getting started.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
