    Good evening Alan,

I totally respect and understand your decision.
I just went ahead and did that for you.

We deeply regret your experience implementing our plugins was not a pleasant one.
We will gladly welcome you back at any time.

Best of luck with your projects.

    Have a good weekend!

    Good evening Ruud,

Thank you for taking the time to write back.

I cannot guarantee anything, but I would be interested in looking at how this plugin conflicts with ours.

If you do not mind, could you please send me a copy of that plugin via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

    Have a good weekend,

    Good afternoon Jason,

    Thank you for your answer.

I am glad to hear you were able to get the colors to display just the way you wanted them to. Kudos!

I would like to answer your other questions:

When I am creating a new event, there is a section called, custom fields with a columns named “NAME” and “VALUE”. Are these fields editable with the free version? Doesn’t seem so. It looks like I can add new ones under the Add New Custom Field but not change or update existing ones.

This is a good question. The custom fields you just mentioned are not specific to the Events Calendar .

They are most likely “system generated” fields (either from your theme or some other plugin).

In any case, I would recommend not touching these.

If you are looking for additional fields, you might want to take a look at our the Events Calendar Pro premium add-on which offers an easy to use version of these that integrates with our calendar nicely: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

    2. What are these fields for? Do you guys have a breakout sheet somewhere that explains what each custom field does, and available settings for each? Example would be pyre_page_title_bar_bg_full with a setting of default.

These fields contain data that are used by a variety of plugins and by some themes.
Unless you have a specific use for them AND you know what you are doing, I would recommend not touching these. In fact, you can hide them using the “Screen options” located at the top right of your screen.

    3. Also, when you create a event with a feature image, then you view the event, there is this bar of some sort that is either placed above or below the image based on size of image. The bar is some light gray color, that is see-through sort of with white letters with the date of the event and title. Is there a way to manipulate this? Can it be moved into another position? Also is there a way to add other content to this event page, such as buttons, containers and elements?

The gray bar is specific to the WordPress theme you are using.

Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.

We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization (including theme styling).

With that in mind, you might want to read this to get a sense of how to tweak styles to your liking: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/

You can change all of that with some CSS rules (I would recommend Google-ing it up)

As for containers and other elements, my best recommendation would be to consider using a page builder plugin (e.g.: Visual Composer).

This will let you control the content of your events like a pro.

    Good afternoon Christina,

    Thank you for writing back.

The short answer to your question is no. This field is not available in the backend.

At least, not without some customization.

However, if you are looking for a solution to be able to populate this for your users, you might want to look into a plugin such as “Shop as a customer” https://codecanyon.net/item/shop-as-customer-for-woocommerce/7043722

Good afternoon Alan and welcome back!

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

I have been trying to get it to work for me over the last 2 weeks, but feel i am wasting my time

I am terribly sorry to hear that. I was under the impression your issues only started after upgrading WooCommerce to version 3.

As you can imagine, this is far from our intention and we do apologize for the inconvenience so far.

Normally, with WooCommerce 2.6.14 (to the best of my knowledge WooCommerce 2.7 was never released) it should be possible to have a perfectly smooth integration with our plugins.

I sincerely wish we could have talked to you sooner in the process so that you did not have to go on like this for 2 weeks.

In any case, my colleague Victor has also replied to you in the other thread regarding the pre-release of a patch for WooCommerce 3. I believe that has a legitimate shot at fixing your issues.

Would you mind giving this an ultimate shot ?

The good news is you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are within 30 days of your purchase.

For now, I will just hold off the refund to give you the chance to try this patch.

If you don’t feel like trying it out, please let me know and I will simply process these refunds for you.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Alicia and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Based on your screenshot, I believe that what is going on is that you are trying to use the Events Calendar Pro license in the Event Aggregator license field.

The Events Calendar Pro’s license field only appears when you have downloaded and activated the Events Calendar Pro add-on from your downloads page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Oscar and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the challenges you have met while installing our Event Tickets Plus premium add-on. I would love to help you with this topic.

The first thing I would recommend is to downgrade your WooCommerce version to 2.6.14.
Our plugins are not yet fully compatible with WooCommerce 3. You can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/woocommerce-3-0-users-read-this/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good afternoon Melodie and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your question.

I want to be sure we can have people submit events but them not appear until they are approved. Does that work in Pro or do we need to add the Community Events?

To achieve this, you will need a copy of our Community Events plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/

That will give you full control over the event submission approval.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Jason and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Is it possible to sell one ticket for this whole event but have the event show on a calendar each week as it’s coming up?

    The short answer is yes.
You are in luck, because this is precisely the only way we support some form of recurring events ticketing for now.

To achieve this, you will need:

    1. the Events Calendar free (which you already have)
    2. the Events Calendar Pro (which you already have)
    3. Event Tickets free https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/
    4. Event Tickets Plus https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/
    5. WooCommerce

Once you have all of that in place, simply create a recurring/repeating event and create a ticket for it. You should be all set.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good afternoon Brent and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your question.

For the Events Calendar Pro is this an annual fee? What happens when support and updates end?

    Yes, this fee is annual.

After one year, when your license expires, the plugins will still work if you do not choose to renew.
But, you will need to “freeze” your the Events Calendar related plugins to their current version (all of them).

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.
