MemberTony, thanks for your polite and thorough response!
And I’m really, really glad you got all that sorted!
Thanks for being a great customer!
Cliff
MemberAh, you were talking about the Venue screen in the wp-admin Event/post edit screen. I was able to reproduce this issue.
I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.
Cliff
MemberSorry to hear that. Could you please provide me the Eventbrite event ID and public event URL so I can investigate further?
Cliff
MemberSure. I modified the plugin so you’ll need to fully replace that file’s contents with this:
https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/2e2ca3fa1a9d8cb81678785a5f1cd983
Just do a full copy and paste (use the RAW version).
Let me know if that works for you!
Cliff
MemberWhile I’m sorry to hear of that situation, our plugins are designed to only import valid iCal files.
Please let me know if you think there’s anything more I can help with at this point.
Cliff
MemberThanks for sharing and for your understanding.
Cliff
MemberIf this is the case, please download fresh copies of our plugins. Maybe that file got modified somehow.
The file in question is viewable at https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/4.2/src/views/single-event.php

MemberKim, thank you for sharing your feedback. Thanks for letting me know your issue is resolved now.

MemberHi Ashleigh. Thanks for your detailed question.
I just downloaded, activated, and tried that plugin with the latest versions of WordPress core and all our plugins, and it worked as expected.
I installed it here: /wp-content/plugins/venue-organizer-shortcode.php
If that’s not where you put the file, please do put it there, then activate the plugin from wp-admin and try again.
If it’s still causing you issues, please report any errors you do see.
Thanks!

MemberHi Robert. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
When you refer to “your main events page”, are you referring to yoursite.com/events/ or somewhere else (e.g. a custom page with an embedded widget or shortcode)?

General troubleshooting tips:
First, make sure you’re on the latest version of WordPress core, all plugins, and all themes.
Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please share your System Information. That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.
Cliff
MemberHi Tony. Thanks for your detailed question and your business!
On the latest version of WordPress and all Modern Tribe plugins with TwentySixteen theme, I couldn’t reproduce that Community Events issue (that the Venue selected at time of submitting CE form doesn’t make it through to the wp-admin Events edit screen).
Please update to the latest versions (staging site if you have to) and make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions:
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.
Cliff
MemberHi Jeremy. Thanks for the detailed message, and sorry you’re experiencing these issues.
I tested the 2nd bullet point and couldn’t reproduce it on my local testing site.
From your system information (thanks for that), it seems you’re on the latest versions of all our plugins so please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi Lisa. Sorry you’re having difficulty with this import.
What were the JS console messages? (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
If you can’t determine the cause from those messages, please test your URL at http://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/ to make sure it validates.
If you still haven’t discovered and resolved the issue, please provide me the URL you’re trying to import.
Thanks!

MemberHi. Thanks for your question.
I’m not intimately familiar with SliderRevolution, but I’m guessing there isn’t a way to work around the slider’s limitation (if it can interpret date but not date+time) without custom coding.
If you do go the customization route to accomplish this, maybe you could customize SliderRevolution instead of our plugin’s code? Maybe you could ask their support if there’s such a workaround.
We do have a list of known customizers for reference, if you’re interested.
Please let me know how things turn out.

MemberHi Alex. Thanks for considering our Event Tickets Plus plugin (which integrates with WooCommerce and other WordPress e-commerce plugins).
While we’d love to have a museum customer, I’d say our ET+ plugin is suited specifically for selling tickets attached to some event.
So if you just want to sell a simple $x.xx admission ticket when someone walks through the door or reserves a guided tour online, I believe any of the WordPress e-commerce plugins would be sufficient as-is (without our ET+ plugin).
If, however, you sell both general tickets like I described above and tickets for specific events (e.g. fundraiser dinners, temporary exhibits, etc.) and you want that sale tied to a specific event (e.g. this ticket is specific to the “June 20th’s Museum After Dark event”), that’s where ET+ adds its value.
ET+ can sell tickets when there is limited inventory, collect additional information per attendee (e.g. allergies or t-shirt size), display a list/report of all attendees, and more.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
