When we tried to enter the iCal URL, it gave us a message that said, “The server responded with a malformed response” (see attached photo). We are positive it is the correct URL.
Please let us know what we can do to solve this issue. Thank you in advance! 🙂
June 13, 2016 at 9:57 pm #1126545CliffMemberHi Lisa. Sorry you’re having difficulty with this import.
What were the JS console messages? (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
If you can’t determine the cause from those messages, please test your URL at http://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/Â to make sure it validates.
If you still haven’t discovered and resolved the issue, please provide me the URL you’re trying to import.
Thanks!

Thank you for responding. We tested with the two iCal feeds below–1 is from our Veracross provider and the other one was using Google. These two both have errors but we can’t modify the format on how google or Veracross generates an iCal feed. Could you help?
June 14, 2016 at 1:21 pm #1126966CliffMemberWhile I’m sorry to hear of that situation, our plugins are designed to only import valid iCal files.
Please let me know if you think there’s anything more I can help with at this point.

We actually tried a generic Google iCal file and it didn’t work either. The fact that no iCal file will work with your plugin doesn’t make sense to us, considering we are paying for it. Can you please look further into the issue? It seems to be on your end.
Thanks.

When I tried importing the “Election Day” event from https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/0qgl1ndad2ngb2383ab3gj57o76ds18o%40import.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics, it worked just fine:Â http://cl.ly/242v1F3K3W28

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please share your System Information. That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Additionally, please provide any helpful details (screenshots, links to calendars, etc).
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.
