ParticipantHi,
I’m trying to create a page listing all of the organizers. I know that there is a plugin here https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/listing-venues-and-organizers/ .. I’ve attempted to install but have received an error. I am running Events Calendar and the PRO version. I’ve installed the plugin the same way I’ve installed others. Is the plugin working ok for others or is the issue on my end?
Thanks,

MemberHi Ashleigh. Thanks for your detailed question.
I just downloaded, activated, and tried that plugin with the latest versions of WordPress core and all our plugins, and it worked as expected.
I installed it here: /wp-content/plugins/venue-organizer-shortcode.php
If that’s not where you put the file, please do put it there, then activate the plugin from wp-admin and try again.
If it’s still causing you issues, please report any errors you do see.
Thanks!

ParticipantThank you! I was trying to install it using the wordpress dashboard. Once I added it to my file manager, in the folder you specified, it worked just fine.
One last question … is it possible to have the organizers show up in alphabetical order?
I appreciate the help!

MemberSure. I modified the plugin so you’ll need to fully replace that file’s contents with this:
https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/2e2ca3fa1a9d8cb81678785a5f1cd983
Just do a full copy and paste (use the RAW version).
Let me know if that works for you!

MemberAshleigh,
I actually updated the Listing venues and organizers KB article to become version 1.1 of this plugin, which adds additional features, which are documented at that link.
Please delete the plugin you have installed at your site, download this new version from that KB article, and go onward and upward once you’re using the latest/greatest version!
Let me know how it goes for you.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Exciting – I love new features! I deleted the old plugin and uploaded this new one but now the [list_organizers] shortcode isn’t working for me. I am not super savvy with this sort of thing, so it’s possible I’ve done something wrong. I did notice that the plugin file downloaded with an enclosing folder and then when I uploaded it, I only uploaded the .php file (not the enclosing folder). Would that matter?
Thanks,

MemberYes, it should be in its enclosing folder this time.
And it probably isn’t working because the plugin got deactivated. Please activate the plugin after installing it properly (unzipping and uploading into its enclosing folder or using the WP plugin uploader/installer).
Let me know how it goes.
