ParticipantHi, we are running this plugin on multiple sites that all have the latest wordpress version installed (4.5.2) and the Pro version of this calendar plugin appears to be broken.
Known issues:
- Adding in custom html before the event content doesn’t work: I can add in text/images but then it disappears from the white box where I entered it, while still being shown ‘live’ on the front end.
- From the options under Default stylesheet used for events templates – I can’t select ‘Skeleton Template’ or ‘Tribe Events Styles’ – it will revert back to ‘Full styles’ every time after hitting ‘Save’.

MemberHi Jeremy. Thanks for the detailed message, and sorry you’re experiencing these issues.
I tested the 2nd bullet point and couldn’t reproduce it on my local testing site.
From your system information (thanks for that), it seems you’re on the latest versions of all our plugins so please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Cliff – so we set up a brand new test site with a fresh wordpress install, no other plugins and tried just the free calendar plugin on this one. Please see the short video attached (uploaded to screencast) that shows how both issues are still persisting. The cache was also flushed from the other sites, with the same issues. We have done all the troubleshooting guide points already and have not been able to get it to work at all with the standard wordpress themes:2014, 2015, 2016 as well as other themes installed on the sites.
Please advise…

Please use this test site space to login and see if you can identify the issues?

MemberThanks for the additional information and screencast!
That is a known bug.
I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience — but I am pretty sure it’s safe to say it’ll be fixed by our next update!

Here’s some information from one of our support team members that may help if you can’t wait for a the fix (not guaranteed to fix the issue and you could definitely lose data):
I started investigating the wp_options table after upgrading to 4.2 and here’s what I found:
- On one install, I had the Redirection plugin installed. For some unknown reason, this automatically generated a bunch of random redirections which in turn impacted the redirection and rewrite_rules rows
- Secondly, the tribe_events_calendar_options row was being duplicated
So here is what I did to fix the issue (using phpMyAdmin and after a database backup):
- I deactivated our plugins
- I deleted the redirection and rewrite_rules rows in the wp_options table
- I deleted both rows for tribe_events_calendar_options in the wp_options table
- I reactivated our plugins
- Set my permalinks to postname and re-saved them
In certain cases, you might have to go a bit overboard and also delete any other tribe_ rows that could be in there

MemberHey there,
Just want to drop a quick note in here to let you know that The Events Calendar 4.2.1 is about to release any moment and it will include a patch for this issue. I realize you may have already switched plugins, but thought you’d like to know anyway. 🙂
Thanks so much for the heads up and we hope to work with you again soon.
Cheers,
