MemberHi, John. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
We always prefer users post their own issue in their own separate forum thread, so thanks for that. 🙂
We had a persisting issue with scheduled imports not running, but that should be resolved now, although it may require re-setting them up (very sorry for this).
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, could you send a database dump and send Administrator credentials to wp-admin in a Private Reply (must be done via the forum, not email replies)?
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups on hand.

MemberYikes! Sorry to hear that.
We’ve heard of some other users experiencing duplicating imports, primarily with Google Calendar iCal feeds though.
Event Aggregator’s code is part of The Events Calendar plugin so you could deactivate The Events Calendar, but I’m unsure of the implications it may have.
I’d also recommend taking a peek into WP’s cron–like with WP Crontrol plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/ or an alternative (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)–and seeing if there’s anything odd or leftover in there that doesn’t match Event Aggregator’s scheduled imports settings.
Please let me know what you find out.

MemberHi, Krav.
I found that other thread at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/daylight-savings-time-displays-incorrectly-in-future/
Thank you for sharing your System Information Report.
Could you please link to a recurrence series that this issue happens for? Additionally, please send a screenshot of this event’s settings in the wp-admin event edit screen.
Cliff
MemberHi, Randy. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
My first thought is trying a different date format in the wp-admin General Settings and/or the Event Display settings and see if exclusions then work.
I’d also recommend disconnecting your main site, example.com, and then connect staging.example.com, assuming that’s where you’ll always be performing the updates. You would remove the key from both sites’ wp-admin settings, then remove example.com from https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/, then re-enter your license key at your staging site’s wp-admin settings. You could then perform automatic updates in staging.

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.
Cliff
MemberThomas, I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue.
We’ve heard of several customers experiencing the same, but we haven’t been able to replicate it and, therefore, at this time we need to collect as much information as possible.
Would you be able to provide an Administrator wp-admin access (in a Private Reply, which cannot be done via email replies) and a database dump?
We’d only view, not make changes, but we still always recommend having restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site or providing anyone (including us) access.

MemberHi, Samuel / Matt.
You can follow our Themer’s Guide to override the PHP template that loads the widget items.
If Events Calendar PRO is active, you can override /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/list-widget.php
If it’s not active, you can override /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/widgets/list-widget.php
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberPlease try this:
https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/d7fd672cd5c003335415ffc0451116fa
Note that it won’t remove the Event Categories metabox from the wp-admin event edit screen.
You’ll also need to modify the current_user_can() to be what you need it to be.
Additionally, please note that, per our Scope of Support / Terms, we don’t normally provide customizations like this, but I was happy to help you on the way to your final solution.

MemberIf you use a restore service, you will lose Posts and Events and other data.
If you switch themes, you won’t.

Cliff
MemberHi, John.
You could use our Calendar Widget Areas extension or one of our action or filter hooks. Neither of these options require a paid add-on.
Please note that you posted in our Pre-Sales forum from a user account that doesn’t have any purchases associated with it.
We don’t answer support questions for The Events Calendar core/free or Event Tickets core/free or their paid add-ons in the Pre-Sales forum.
If you made your purchase(s) through a different user account, please login to that account and then post in one of the paid forums.
Thank you for your understanding and thank you for using our plugins.

October 24, 2017 at 9:43 am in reply to: Google search results displaying Event Calendar data #1368202Cliff
MemberHi, Tommy. We can’t directly answer why Google is doing what they’re doing. However, I can recommend testing your URLs in https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool and seeeing if anything unexpected appears there.
If all that looks good, Google’s results may be cached and will eventually right themselves.
Please let me know what you find out.

MemberI found the ‘event’ post type registered in this file: /wp-content/themes/Gaea/imic-framework/custom-post-types/event-type.php
I’m unsure how or why the ‘event’ custom post type would conflict with ours, since ours is a different custom post type. Here’s a snippet that should remove the theme’s own ‘event’ custom post type:
function remove_gaea_theme_event_post_type() { unregister_post_type( 'event' ); } add_action( 'init', 'remove_gaea_theme_event_post_type', 50 );Please let me know how this goes for you.
