    Hello wma333,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! I’m sorry you are having this issue. Indeed it is upsetting if the tickets don’t show up.

Could you pinpoint me to where the issue is?

I have checked you site and I did find events with tickets, e.g.:

    http://melbournemakeup-courses.com.au/event/beginners-hair-styling-course-25-january-2017/2017-01-25/

Also can you share some screenshots of the event settings and the ticket settings which is having an issue?

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Mike,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! I’m sorry about this recurring issue.

I was trying to test this, but didn’t manage to recreate the scenario yet. I set up an event for a date, then entered a daily recurrence and all was created fine.

What could happen is a misunderstanding from the submitter’s point of view.

For example they want to put in an event that is recurring from Dec 1 to Dec 4, and is every day from 11am to 1pm.

So for the start date they enter Dec 1, for the end date Dec 4. Then they set it up as a recurring event for daily recurrence. Could this be it?

Could you possibly try to recreate the issue? If you manage please share with me the exact steps you are doing, so I can also try to recreate.

I’ll be waiting for your results.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Ed,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

I’m sorry you are having this issue with importing the file. I tested it and can confirm it doesn’t go. Can you share with me the feed as well, so I can test that?

Also I’d like to ask you to share your system information with me.

As for importing recurring events as recurring events, that is not a feature of our plugins yet. All recurring event instances will be imported as separate events.

If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Mark,

If I’m right, normally you don’t need The Events Calendar for this to work.

It might be we have a bug here, so I would like to ask you to check the following scenarios:

    • switch to a default theme like twentysixteen and see if the issue still exists
    • install the free The Events Calendar plugin and activate it, and check if the issue is resolved with it.

Also, when you activate TEC you will already see the Help menu, please then share your system information with me.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hello again Rob,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry you are having issues with your site.

Do I understand correctly, that when you deactivate <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>only</span> The Events Calendar plugins, then the lag doesn’t appear any more? Is it all the TEC plugins, or the issue seems resolved already when you switch or EC Pro only, or Event Tickets Plus only? This can help us better pinpoint the issue at hand.

Also, to be able to give you full support, please share your system information with me?

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hi neuroticartist,

Thanks for reaching out with your question.

I tested including events in the main blog loop and for me it shows as you would like it to. Events are injected in the blog loop and they are sorted based on the time of the event, and not based on the date of publishing.

Could you please share with me your system information (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ) and run a test for conflicts, also removing all custom code from your functions.php file and check if the issue still exists?

I’ll be waiting for the results?

    Cheers,
    Andras

PS: Are you really neurotic or that’s just a nickname? 😉

    Hey Erikk,

Thanks for all that testing and trying. I’m really sorry to hear that this didn’t solve your issue.

The bug ticket is on highest priority, so high chance the fix will come in the next Maintenance Release. (More on our release schedule here: https://theeventscalendar.com/release-schedule/ )

If all goes according to plan, then it should still come before Christmas, but I cannot commit to that yet at this point.

I am going to close this ticket to new replies, but the issue is still open and we will update this ticket once we release a fix, so you’ll receive a note if you have follow-up emails checked.

If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and reference this one.

    Thanks for your patience!

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Liam,

That depends on what you want to do.

If you want to find the import process and stop that, then you only need to do the above. That “post” is basically the whole process of importing that file.

If you want to find a specific event, then you will need a query like

    SELECT * FROM wp_posts WHERE post_title like '%enter part of post title here%';

If it’s something else you want to do, then please give me the details.

    Cheers,

    Hey Jim,

I did some extensive testing on this.

I could recreate the issue with some specific settings.

The timing of your events after the DST change date will be off by 1 hour if all of these conditions are met:

    • Under Events > Settings > General tab > Timezone mode is set to ‘Use sitewide timezone everywhere’
    • The site timezone under Dashboard > Settings > General > Timezone is set based on UTC (e.g. UTC or UTC-8)
    • The timezone of the event itself is set city / GMT based, e.g. Los Angeles

    Here’s a screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cvk26JgEfDY

You will also get this if:

    • Under Events > Settings > General tab > Timezone mode is set to ‘Use sitewide timezone everywhere’
    • The site timezone under Dashboard > Settings > General > Timezone is set based on GMT (e.g. Los Angeles)
    • The timezone of the event itself is set UTC based, e.g. UTC-8

There are 2 solutions based on your Calendar Timezone mode:

    1. Set the Events > Settings > General tab > Timezone mode to ‘Use the local timezones for each event’. Then you should be able to use whatever combination for your site and the events.

    2. If you want to keep Events > Settings > General tab > Timezone mode on ‘Use sitewide timezone everywhere’, then make sure that you use the same type of timezone setting for both your site and the events. So both either UTC based, or city / GMT based.

I hope this helps. Let me know if that solves the issue.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hey Mandy,

I’m happy to hear it’s working now. Cool!

It is possible to customize the ticket email. Unfortunately we are limited in doing and supporting customization, but I can show you the way.

As a first I recommend you to read these two articles:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/template-overview/

Once you’ve done that you should have a basic understanding on how to do template overrides.

For customizing the email you need to override this file:

    wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\vendor\tickets\src\views\tickets\email.php

You will need to make a copy of it here:

    [your-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/email.php

And then you can adjust the formatting of it.

I hope this gets you started. Let me know if you get stuck.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Damian,

Thanks for reaching out with you issue and I’m really sorry about this.

Unfortunately modifying the attendee meta in the wp admin is not possible out of the box.

It could be done with some custom development, however we are limited in supporting that.

Here is though a list of developers from the community who might be able to help you out with it:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

The source of this issue could be that people take one ticket, fill out the attendee meta, put it in the cart, then they add more tickets in the cart. Unfortunately on the cart page it is not possible any more to add attendee data to the newly added tickets.

One workaround is to disable the quantity selector on the cart page.

This snippet should help you achieve this.

Let me know if this helps.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hallo weknow,

Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums! I’m sorry you are having this import issue.

I have tested your file and could reproduce it. We might be facing a bug.

Please give me some time to also check this internally. Most of the team is out due to thanksgiving holidays in the US, so it might take couple of days. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for hanging in there.

    Hi Colin,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having this issue with the maps.

I see in your system information that you are using outdated versions of our plugins. I would kindly like to ask you to update the plugins to the most recent version, and check if the issue still exists.

If yes, then we will look further.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras
