    Hi @fillmoreharvard,

    Thanks for chiming in here.

I would kindly like to ask you to open a new ticket with your issue on our new support platform and well be happy to help you out.

    You can log in here:

    https://support.theeventscalendar.com/

If you have a problem logging in with your current account, then please register a new account with the same email address.

To have a quick start it would be great if you could do the following and share it in the ticket you open:

    • Create a test event in the future (couple months ahead) and share the URL
    • Create a test ticket for it, which our support team can purchase for free
    • Please set up an API key for the QR code scanner under Events > Settings > Tickets tab and share the API key

With this our support team will be able to make a free ticket purchase and then test the scanning and the response of the App which might already uncover some issues.

Also please add the following to the ticket:

(Internal ref: #115267, pls ping Andras with the issue)

    Thanks,
    Andras

    Hi Sebastian,

Sorry to hear about the new troubles and the login.

For the login, you might need to re-register there with the same email address you use here, then you should be able to submit tickets.

Please make sure that your calendar and Eventbrite plugins are updated to the latest version.

We were not able to import your system information. Could you please share it with me in a reply? Please go to Events –> Help in your WordPress dashboard and copy your system information below.

Can you share with me the URL to the Eventbrite event(s) that you are having issues with?

Also please share with me some details, possibly screenshots as well about how you are trying to import them.

    Thanks!

    Andras

    Hi Alexzandria,

Just wanted to ping you with some news.

Matthew shared with me in a different channel that “Avada resolved the AJAX navigation issue in version 5.7.1 released on 10/23/18.”

A update of Avada should solve your issue as well. We do recommend to create a backup before doing so, or even better, test the update on a staging site first.

Please note, we have switched to a new support platform, so you will not be able to post here any more. If you would like to reach out to us you can do that on http://support.theeventscalendar.com/

You should be able to log in with your current credentials. In case that fails, try resetting your password, you will find the link to that on the login page.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Sally,

With CSV imports the way we determine if an event is the same is by looking at the title and that start date/time of the event. If these are the same, then it is considered the same event, and other data is updated.

If the title OR the start date/time is different (e.g. was missing before, not it has a value), then it is considered a different event, thus a duplicate is created. It is done this way to have a repeating event with the same title imported.

So this is not a bug, it is the intended behavior.

We are working on an enhancement that will allow you to define a unique ID for an event and that will be the base of comparison, instead of the title and the date. I do hope we can get this feature working together with the others.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

    That’s a great question there.

You have the choice not to update your WordPress installation to keep compatibility, but in the long run that is not recommended.

Otherwise, if you would like to update the calendar plugin, then yes, you will need a valid subscription / license. This will grant you updates and premium support until your subscription is valid.

Hope this clarifies. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Sally,

    Thanks for the ping!

I checked the status of the bugtickets. There hasn’t been any progress on them, sorry. There is no date set for them yet, so this is likely not going to happen in October.

I just pinged the team about this to get a feel for it. I will get back to you as soon as I get an answer. Please hang in there.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Thanks for the additional details Mattias!

I will put your request in the queue and when we have a bit of time someone will take a look at it.

At the moment we are quite overloaded with questions, which is actually quite unusual, so it can take 2-3 weeks until we get to this.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for confirming that it works! I’m happy to hear that.

Also thanks for the screenshot. Having the columns next to each other is normal, that’s how it should look like. However, the ‘design’ you have looks very unusual. What device are you using? Is it a PC, Mac or a tablet?

Might be a plugin or you theme did some modification on the looks of things.

This is how it should look like normally: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/e60jfsizj48w540/shot_181011_121418.jpg

There is no overlapping in the columns.

To find out if another plugin or your theme is doing these changes you can go through our conflict testing guide.

If you have a test site, I would be happy to log in and take a look as well.

    Cheers,
    Andras
