MemberHi Josen,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! Critical security updates pushed to WordPress 4.8.2 and several previous versions on Tuesday introduced a significant issue with The Events Calendar. This bug resulted in some users seeing an empty calendar when attempting to view events in the default Month View. We shipped an urgent hotfix within hours of WordPress 4.8.2 to address this issue, and a subsequent maintenance release on the 21st includes several more important updates and bug fixes for our plugins. Would you please take a moment to update your install of The Events Calendar to the latest version? Let us know if this helps to resolve your issue! ?

MemberHi Kelly,
Thanks for reaching out! The bug introduced by WordPress 4.8.2 only affects the core version of The Events Calendar–as Events Calendar PRO simply extends the core functionality provided by this plugin, it does not need to upgraded separately. (You also won’t need to pay extra to receive updates such as these for Events Calendar PRO; these are included with your active licensing!) Once your install of The Events Calendar has been updated, your events in Month View should be fully restored. Let me know if you should have any questions about how to perform this update! ๐
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions or concerns!

MemberHi Eudald,
Thanks so much for your interest in Events Calendar PRO! Events Calendar PRO is installed alongside The Events Calendar and does not replace this plugin or any of its data. Rest assured that you won’t lose any events or settings when upgrading your calendar. For more information on upgrading to Events Calendar PRO, check out our Knowledgebase article here:
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions! ๐

MemberHi Jillian,
Thanks for reaching out! If you’ve purchased any licenses from us and would like to upgrade later to add more activation slots or daily imports, you can easily upgrade at any time right from your account. Just as you’ve outlined here, you’ll only pay the difference between your existing license and the tier you’d like to move up to. ๐ You’ll find all the details you’ll need to get started on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/upgrading-a-license/
Simply place your desired upgrade in a shopping cart, then add a new license for Eventbrite Tickets from that product’s page, and you’ll be all set to complete checkout. Let us know if you should have any other questions as you’re working through the steps!

MemberHi Eileen,
Thanks so much for your interest in Events Calendar PRO! Both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO support full calendar views for specific categories, and you can drop these URLs onto any link or button you’d like. For more information on working with event categories on your site, check out our Knowledgebase article here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-categories/
And for a quick demo of what a category-specific view might look like, here’s an example category from our WP Shindig demo site:

I hope that helps–let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns here! ๐ Cheers, and thanks again!

MemberHi Mohsin,
Thanks so much for getting in touch–I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having this issue with your recurring events. I’m afraid that we’re not equippedย to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum. We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:
- If you’re using one or more of our free pluginsย such as The Events Calendar and Event Tickets, you can request assistance on the WordPress.org support forum for the affected product.
- If you’re a current license holder for one of our premium offerings, please log in to your account and submit a post to the appropriate forum for the affected product.
If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker. ๐
Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

MemberHi Brian,
Thanks for reaching out! Our Community Events plugin does use the existing WordPress user management system and established user roles, so there’s no need to administrate two separate sets of users. You can also allow event submissions from anonymous users, though only logged-in users may be allowed to edit their events at a later date. For more information on the available settings for Community Events, check out our Knowledgebase article here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/community-events-settings/
Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns here! ๐ Cheers, and thanks again!

MemberHi Alan,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out! Unfortunately, these tooltips are generated as part of the Google Maps script and are not easily accessible through any of our plugin templates (as listed in our Themer’s Guide). Custom development is also outside of the scope of what support services we provide, so we may be limited in how much we can assist here. However, this forum thread may help to get you started in the right direction:

I hope that helps to get you on your way! ๐ Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Ian,
How strange! Thanks for taking the time to follow up and let us know that all is well now. It’s possible that the original issue might have been related to stray transients or some other type of caching–in any case, the important thing is that all seems to be resolved! ๐
Since it looks like you’re all sorted by now, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread out for now. We hope you’ll enjoy continuing to evaluate The Events Calendar–please don’t hesitate to follow up with a new thread if there’s anything else that we can do for you!

MemberHi Joris,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! We don’t offer any demo or trial versions of our products at this time–rather than rely on restrictive methods such as feature-limited trial downloads, we’ve chosen to instead provide a full 30-day refund policy for all of our plugins. Feel free to deploy the full versions of our products on your site and test the complete range of features at your disposal! Should you encounter any issues, you’ll have ready access to our premium support services, and we’ll be glad to process a refund for any reason within your 30-day trial should you no longer require our plugins for any reason.
I hope that helps to get you started here–let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns! Cheers, and thanks again for reaching out! ๐
