    Hi Tim,

Thanks for checking out Events Calendar Pro! It does come with the ability to add calendar views via widget shortcodes and full view shortcodes. Pro also adds photo view, which you can see an example of over on our demo site. However, you are correct that there is not currently a “limit” parameter available with this shortcode.

You might also look at Image Widget Plus to create slideshows – with this option, you <i>would</i> need to manually create the slides. There is not an out-of-the-box way to automatically pull events into a slideshow.

We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Events Calendar Pro and/or Image Widget Plus for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Shah,

I see that you are using the Avada theme – Avada adds its own styling for events pages, and I believe the semi-transparent title over the featured image is the intended behavior. I took a look at the event you linked to, and I see how this is an issue for your site.

I would first recommend taking a look at this article, which reviews some of the options for changing the events styles within Avada. You can also try adjusting the “Default stylesheet used for events templates” and “Events template” settings under Events > Settings > Display. These affect how much events pages inherit their styling from the theme.

If this doesn’t make a difference, then you will need to add some CSS (this will be the same for the font sizes as well). We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations like this, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

I’m sorry that you’ve had such a hard time getting up and running! I am not able to deregister your license from my end, as it is automatically registered when you enter it onto your site. As long as it is there, it will remain registered.

I took a look at your licenses, and it looks like only the Event Tickets Plus license is currently registered. In order to add it to your new site, you will need to follow these instructions to de-link it from your old site. Your Events Calendar Pro license is not currently linked and is good to go on your new site 🙂 However, even without having the license keys on the new site, you will still be able to upload and activate both plugins there. Once you move the license key over, you’ll be able to update automatically.

Please let me know if you run into any issues or have any questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

I’m sorry that the shortcodes have stopped working, but I’ll be happy to help you get them back up and running!

First, can you please clarify exactly what is going wrong with the shortcodes? Did this happen after an update or another change on your site? If you can send me a link to a page where they aren’t working, as well as the shortcode that you are using on that page, we can continue working on this from there!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Shah,

Since we’re working on this over in this thread, I’ll go ahead and close this one out. See you over there!

    Hello,

When clicking “Next events”, the next events displayed should indeed be the next chronologically – however, I tested this out in my local environment and was getting the same thing as you. I went ahead and logged this in our system for our developers to take a look at.

Unfortunately I don’t have a timeline at the moment as to when this will be fixed, but I did link this thread to our internal ticket – as soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here. I’m sorry about the inconvenience that this is causing! If you have any questions in the meantime, please let me know. Thank you for your patience as we work on getting this resolved.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for reaching out! We do have a free extension that will hide organizers and venues submitted by other users from the Community Events submission page. With this extension, users will only be shown venues and organizers that they have created. Can you give this a try and let me know if it will work for you?

    Thanks,

    Hi Kenn,

    Thanks for reaching out!

There is not currently any built-in functionality to automatically redirect past events, but you could do it via a customization. Our themer’s guide is the place to start if you’d like to give this a shot! Our list of functions might also be helpful. I would take a look at tribe_is_past_event() and wp_redirect() as a staring point. If you would like to have the code done for you, we also have a list of recommended developers.

If this is a feature you would like to see added in the future, we’d love it if you could post the idea in our Feature Ideas Forum! We use it to gauge user interest in new features and help plan future development.

<i>However</i>, past events should not return 404s just because they have passed. By default, the only thing that really changes on the event page once the event has passed is that a notice appears indicating that the event is in the past (see this example from our demo site wpshindig.com). Are you using a plugin or another method to automatically remove past events or set them to draft status?

    Hi Alejandro,

The main events page is generated automatically, and there is not currently a way within The Events Calendar to add calendar views to another page. However, Events Calendar Pro does come with some shortcodes that you can use to do just that.

We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Events Calendar Pro for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Hello,

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on!

To add tickets (non-RSVP), you will need to have either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads installed and activated.

If you’re still not able to create a ticket, can you please share your system info with me?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Rachel,

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on.

First, can you please send me a link to a page on your site with the month view so that I can see what you are referring to? The option in the settings to add HTML above the content applies to all events pages, so you would not want to go with that option if you only want to change/display something on the events page.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Jason,

It is actually Event Tickets Plus that allows you to sell tickets and create custom fields on them. Do you have this add-on installed and activated? If not, you will have the ability to create custom fields on events through Events Calendar Pro, but not on tickets.

If you do have Event Tickets Plus installed and activated and are still not able to add additional fields to tickets (this article has some more info on how this feature works), then can you please share your system info with me and send me a screenshot of what you see when you click the “New ticket” button in the Tickets section of the event edit screen?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Mona,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

With The Events Calendar, users will need to be able to login and create new posts on the back end in order to be able to create events…otherwise, there is not any user management within the plugin.

With Community Events, you can choose to require users to login to submit events from the front end.

Either way, all user-management is handled within WordPress – both The Events Calendar and Community Events use the standard WordPress users on your site.

We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Community Events for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,

in reply to: Buying different price tickets in same order #1487955

    Hi Barry,

Thanks for checking out Event Tickets Plus!

Buying multiple tickets at different prices is indeed possible within the same order. For your example, you would need to create a separate ticket for each price, so one for each option that you are offering.

If you are looking for users to be able to select options for each ticket and then have the price change accordingly, this is not built-in functionality. Event Tickets Plus does come wth the ability to create custom fields on tickets, but these do not affect the price. However, you could try using a third-party WooCommerce extension – tickets are essentially WooCommerce simple products, so they typically work pretty well with these extensions. You would need to test it out though to make sure you could get it working exactly the way you need.

We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Event Tickets Plus for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
