    Hi Adam,

Thanks for pointing this out! I just checked translations.theeventscalendar.com, and it looks like the right translation is on there now (“einer”). Can you update to the latest version of Event Tickets Plus (4.5.5) and see if you can see the correct translation? If you don’t see a prompt to update in your Plugins section, you can do so manually by following these instructions.

Let me know if that fixes it!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Matt,

    Thanks for reaching out!

The current version for Pro is 4.4.17, and the current version of The Events Calendar is 4.5.13. These two versions should be compatible with each other. The current version numbers won’t necessarily be the same between our plugins, but you can always see the most recent versions by going to My Account > Downloads.

It looks like you’re running Pro at 4.4.17 (awesome!), but you said your site breaks when you update the free version to 4.5.13? Could you provide more details on what happens when you update, such as any relevant error messages or screenshots? If you don’t currently have a testing environment, the WP Staging plugin will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.

In your testing environment, can you try deactivating all other plugins besides TEC (free version) and Pro and switching to a default theme (such as Twenty Seventeen) and see if you are then able to run both Pro 4.4.17 and TEC 4.5.13? If so, then there is likely a conflict between the current version of TEC and your theme or another plugin. You can verify this by enabling them one at a time until you are able to recreate the issue (your site breaking) that you are running into.

When testing, please make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled and copy/paste any errors that appear into your reply here. Let me know what you find!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Ash,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

Community Events will allow users to create events from the front end of the site, without having access to your Dashboard. It allows you to choose whether or not users need to be logged in to do this, so you have the ability to provision accounts only for these three users.

When they create events, they will have the ability to edit their own events (provided you have enabled this in the settings), but the events submitted by the other two users. However, you will have the ability as an administrator to go in and edit the events from all three accounts.

Based on what you described, it sounds like Community Events works the way you’re looking for out of the box, but I would recommend taking a look at this article as well for more details on some of the settings I mentioned. We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase if you’re not satisfied with the products, so feel free to give Community Events a test run! If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Alok,

I’m glad you were able to get the map showing! The link you sent is password-protected, so I wasn’t able to look at the page. If you can send a link to a public page, I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can recommend! If you’d rather not link to your live site here, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use instead.

I’d also recommend taking a look at this article on styling events pages…it could be that the pages are inheriting some styling from your theme that is affecting the size of the map.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for reaching out!

While a waitlist feature is something we are considering, it is not currently a feature that is available out of the box – sorry for the bad news there! However, you can use Event Tickets (which has the RSVP functionality) in conjunction with Event Tickets Plus to set up something similar on your site.

It sounds like the simplest way to do this for your use case would be to simply create two tickets, one being the “real” ticket/RSVP with a limited stock, and one (RSVP) called “Waitlist” or something similar. This way, if users see the main ticket is sold out, they can still sign up for the waitlist ticket.

If you want to hide/disable the waitlist ticket until the main ticket is sold out, you could do this with a customization. For this, our themer’s guide is the place to start! We also have a list of recommended developers if you’d like to get some help with the code.

I’d also recommend casting your vote for this feature over in our Feature Ideas Forum, which is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.

I’m sorry I don’t have a more straight-forward solution for you here, but I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you get stuck with the customization – I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Michael,

I’m glad to hear you were able to get this resolved, and thanks for posting your solution here for others to see as well!

I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please feel free to open a new one if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,

    Hi Christine,

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you’re running into issues getting set up with Filter Bar, but I’ll be happy to help you get it figured out.

I see in your system info that it is installed and activated, so now you should see a new bar with additional filters on your default events page (see screenshot). You should also have some new options under Events > Settings > Filters (see screenshot). Can you take a look and see if you’re seeing these options? If not, please send me a screenshot of what you do see there.

    Thanks!

    Hi Alexander,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you get it figured out!

I did some testing on my end but was not able to recreate this issue, so my first thought is that there might be a conflict between the newest versions and your theme or another plugin. Can you please try testing for conflicts with WP_DEBUG enabled to see if any errors appear on the attendees page? If you would prefer not to do this on your live site, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.

Let me know what you find!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Elsa,

I’m sorry that updating didn’t fix the translation issues. There are a couple of things that could cause strings to not be fully translated:

-There are language files for our plugins under wp-content/languages or wp-content/languages/plugins. In this case, you’ll want to update these files using the POT file with Poedit (Catalog > Update from POT file) or delete these files altogether.

-The language file found in our plugin’s /lang folder is not up to date. In this case, you can get the latest version here and update the file.

If you have any questions on this or run into any issues, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help walk you through it!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Craig,

Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately I can’t give you a straight “yes” or “no” answer here, as I’m not familiar with a plugin like that and haven’t tested it out with Event Tickets Plus. We code our plugins according to WordPress best practices, so in general they should play nicely with other plugins that do the same. Additionally, tickets are essentially WooCommerce simple products, so in theory something like this could work.

I think your best bet would be to test it out, and if you run into any issues, let us know. We are limited in the amount of support we can provide for issues with third party plugins, but I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can recommend!

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! Could you elaborate a bit more on how you would like this to work? If I understand correctly, you’re looking to create events with tickets but not show the price or allow tickets to be purchased until the customer has contacted the agency?

If this is the case, there isn’t currently an out-of-the-box way to set this up, but you could potentially do something like adding a message to contact the agency on the front end of the event, and then set a “base price” on the tickets. Once you’ve spoken with the customer, you could provide them with a coupon code (created within WooCommerce) for a discounted price.

Let me know if that helps or if there’s another way you would like this to work, and I’ll be happy to see what I can recommend!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

in reply to: How does this work with Google & Facebook Together? #1351742

    Hi Joshua,

Thanks for clarifying! Yes, you can import events individually – you do not have to “bulk import” all events from Facebook or Google. You can preview the import and select events to include/ignore, but there currently really aren’t any other controls at that level to set “rules” so to speak on what to import and what to exclude.

Regarding duplicate events, EA will try to update an existing event when importing if it is coming from the same source, but unfortunately there isn’t currently a way to update an existing event when the import is coming from a different source. If you are events individually, hopefully this will keep you from running into any issues with duplicates. However, if you do wind up with duplicates, you might try using a plugin like this one to clean them up.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you here, but I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,

Sorry to hear you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on!

First, you can try disconnecting your Pro license and then reconnecting (we have instructions for that here). If you could share your system information with me, that would be helpful as well. And finally, can you tell me if you have your Pro license on multiple sites?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Jonathon,

Thanks for sending the link and system info! It sounds like you’ve got it working except when importing with WP Event Aggregator? I do want to note that WP Event Aggregator is a third-party plugin, so we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for issues related to that plugin. However, from what I can tell, this plugin creates events normally within our calendar, so they should function the same way as your other events.

I see you are using WP Super Cache…can you try clearing the cache from within the plugin and see if that makes a difference?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
