KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out!
You should be able to change the background color for the tooltip within Avada’s settings (the theme applies its own styling to The Events Calendar), but if changing it there doesn’t work, try adding the following CSS:
#tribe-events-content .tribe-events-tooltip {
background-color: #fff;
}I tested this out, and it appears to be working on my end (see screenshot). Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry you’re not able to see the bar! It should show up on the main events page after activating the plugin. Could you please send me a link to your main events page so that I can take a look?
If you haven’t done so already, please also be sure to test for conflicts with your theme and other plugins by switching to a default theme and deactivating all other plugins (besides Filter Bar and The Events Calendar) to see if you are then able to see the bar.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Shailesh,
Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help you with this, but first will you please post this question in our Events Calendar PRO forum? We use the Pre-Sales forum to answer questions about the features of our premium plugins for those interested in purchasing them.
If you have not purchased one of our premium plugins, you can post in our community forum on wordpress.org, which we review weekly to check for bug reports. If you need more in-depth support, you will need to purchase a license.
Our knowledgebase is a great place to start looking for answers – I would recommend this article on styling events widgets, as well as our themer’s guide, which is great for making more advanced customizations. You can also search our premium forums to see if another user has posted about a similar issue.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Scott,

Our knowledgebase is a great place to start looking for answers. This article has some good info on style changes with CSS, and this one covers settings and customizations. However, Avada does have its own styling for The Events Calendar, so I would recommend taking a look at some of their documentation as well, and possibly reaching out to them if you’re having issues using their interface to change the calendar styling. It’s also a good idea to clear out any caching (in your browser and also any site-caching you may be doing, such as with a plugin) after making changes to make sure that you are seeing the current styling.
You can also search our premium forums to see if another user has posted about a similar issue. If you’re having trouble with plugin functionality, the best place to start is by testing for a conflict with your theme and other plugins.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I’m glad to hear that updating solved the issue! I’ll go ahead and close this out, but feel free to open up a new thread if you have any further issues.
Jennifer
KeymasterPerfect, glad that worked! I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please feel free to open up a new one if you have any other questions!

KeymasterHi Chip,
Thanks for sending the screenshot! Without a link to the page, it’s a bit harder to recommend anything specific, but here are a few things that you can try out:
- Using :not(:last-child) in your CSS to avoid adding a comma to the last name in the list
- Adding !important to the “display: block” rule for the list items
- Adding/increasing the margins/padding around the list items
- Displaying the names in equal-width columns
As I mentioned previously, we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for CSS customizations like this, but if you get stuck, please send me a link to a page with your CSS applied – I’ll be happy to take a look and point you in the right direction!

KeymasterI’m glad that helped!
We have a list of parameters for the [tribe_events] shortcode here, and we also have some widget shortcodes that you can read more about here.
This article has some instructions on changing the wording on your site, or you could also use a plugin like Say What.
To change the time format, try going under Settings > General from your WordPress Dashboard and changing the Time Format setting. This should get rid of the “min” on the events pages.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Mario,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re running into an issue with empty fields as well! We have had a few other users reporting a similar issue but so far have not been able to recreate it.
I did some additional testing on my end, but clicking “login to register” did not add the tickets that I had completed the fields for to my cart. Can you try testing this out in a default environment (with a default theme enabled and all other plugins disabled) and see if you get the same thing?
Could you please share your system information with me as well?
Thanks,
Jennifer
December 26, 2017 at 5:47 pm in reply to: Filter Bar works quite good – can I add "Month" as a further filter criteria #1413050Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out – I’m glad to hear you’re liking Filter Bar so far!
Unfortunately the only way to add additional filters (like month) to the menu is through a customization.
It sounds like you’ve already come across this article and tried adding a new class? Could you please send me the code that you’re using? Customizations like this are a bit outside the scope of support that we provide here in the forums, but I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can recommend!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
I hope you had a great holiday weekend!
Licenses issued through our Nonprofit Partnership Program are free, but due to limited resources, we are only able to offer technical support to paid license holders. I’m sorry if there was confusion there when you applied for the program! This article does review how the shared capacity works however, so I would definitely recommend taking a look (the link takes you directly to the shared capacity section). If it’s not working as described in the article, testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins would be the first step in troubleshooting the issue.
I hope that helps!
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Mel,
I hope your holidays were fantastic as well!
To disable the category link, take a look at the snippet in this article. You can add it to the functions.php file of your child theme.
To move the content to the right side of the featured image, you would need to add some custom CSS. This is a bit outside the scope of support that we are able to provide here in the forums, but I would recommend taking a look at this article as a starting point. You could also edit the template directly to rearrange the elements or add additional markup by following these instructions. If you get stuck on this or have any questions, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi bizzallmedia,
Laura can’t actually see your message since you marked it “private”, but I would recommend taking a look at our themer’s guide as a starting point for making a customization like this!
