    Hi Shane,

I’m sorry the menu isn’t working on the events page…

First, try updating The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro to the current versions (4.6.11.1 and 4.4.23 respectively). If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions.

Can you then try changing the Default stylesheet used for events templates and Events template settings under Events > Settings > Display? These control how much the events pages inherit their styling from the theme.

Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Lance,

That is a bit strange, but I’ll be happy to help you out with this.

First, have you made any modifications to our plugins, either by customizing templates as outlined in our themer’s guide or a snippet in your functions.php file? If so, can you please send me a copy of the code you’re using (a gist is probably the easiest way) so that I can take a look?

If not, then the next step would be to test for conflicts with your theme and other plugins – it could be that the latest versions are conflicting with something else on your site. If you would prefer not to do this on your live site, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.

Please let me know what you find!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

It sounds like you’re on the right track – your best bet here is to use the “Once” option to set the days you want to exclude. Since this is only happening once (not a repeated exclusion), that would be the best way.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Hi Sarah,

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on.

First, it looks like you’re currently running version 4.5.8 of Community Events. Can you try updating to 4.5.9 and see if that fixes this? If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions.

If not, it could be that the current versions are conflicting with something else on your site. If you haven’t done so already, can you try running through these steps to test this out? The WP Staging plugin will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing if you don’t already have a staging environment.

You can also check for Javascript errors on that page by right-clicking on the page, clicking “Inspect”, and then going to the console and trying to recreate the issue. If you see any errors, please copy/paste them here.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Terri,

I took a look at your site, and from what I can see, the events in month view appear to be displaying in the correct order. Can you please provide some more details on what you would like to show up differently? I’ll be happy to see what I can recommend!

    Thanks,

in reply to: Accept payments by BACS #1463533

    Hi Jeremt,

Thanks for reaching out! I definitely understand where you’re coming from in wanting to use BACS over Paypal.

Payment processing is handled entirely within WooCommerce, so I would recommend taking a look at this article, which has some info on getting the BACS payment option set up. If you have everything configured correctly and are still not seeing this option on the checkout page, the next step would be to test for conflicts with your theme and other plugins. We have instructions on how to do this here, but in this case you would want to disable all other plugins besides WooCommerce. I see that you have several other WooCommerce add-ons enabled on your site, so it could be that one of those is overriding/conflicting with this functionality.

If you would prefer not to do this on your live site, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.

Regarding issuing tickets once the funds have been transferred, you can control when tickets are generated based on the WooCoomerce order status under Events > Settings > Tickets > WooCommerce Support. If you are accepting BACS payments, then the order status will be set to “On Hold” by default, and then you will need to change it manually once the payment has cleared.

The following articles should also be helpful in getting up and running with Event Tickets Plus:

    Hi Jim,

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue with some of your imports, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going on.

I tested these links out on my end, but I was able to import from both events from both in my local environment. Can you try importing from https://www.facebook.com/MadOrpheum/ without the “/events/“ on the end (see screenshot)?

Also, is this happening with scheduled imports, manual imports, or both?

Can you please share your system info with me as well?

    Thanks,

    Hi Katty,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like that site is using the Avada theme, which has its own built-in styling for our plugins that overrides our default styles and templates. In order to make your events list look more like that page, you would need to do some customizations (as it looks like you are using a different theme).

We are a bit limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but I would recommend taking a look at the following articles as a starting point:

    Stylesheets and Page Templates

    The Events Calendar Category Colors

Basic Font and Color Changes with CSS

    Hi James,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You can change this heading by following the instructions in our themer’s guide to copy the tickets.php template into your child theme for editing. This template can be found at wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/views/wootickets. Look for this code, where you can change the text in the “Tickets” heading:

    Hello,

I’m sorry that the dropdown isn’t working for you. I just tested this out on my end but was not able to recreate this issue.

This is likely due to a conflict with your theme or another plugin on your site. Can you please try running through these steps to test this out? If you would prefer not to do this on your live site, WP Staging will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.

Can you also share your system info with me?

    Thanks,

    Hi Hannu,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You do not need Events Calendar Pro to link other post types to events.

We are not able to provide technical support here in the Pre-Sales forum (even in our premium support forums, we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations). However, I would recommend testing this in a default environment (meaning with a default theme like Twenty Seventeen enabled and all other plugins disabled).

If you need further technical assistance with this, you can post this over in our community forum on wordpress.org. 🙂

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Delaney,

Thanks for sending that link! I tested it out on my end, but I was able to import the events from that calendar…are you trying to run this as a one-time import or a scheduled import?

Also, is this the only import that is failing, or are imports from other sources failing as well?

Unfortunately your system info didn’t come through. Can you please try sharing it again? If you are not able to share it automatically, you can copy it from Events > Help > System Information and paste it into your reply.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi TJ,

So sorry for the delayed response here, we’ve had a very high volume of threads in the forums here lately. I apologize about that!

I’m glad that code is working for you…You are right, the tribe_events_has_tickets_on_sale function actually should be passed the event ID.

For the price, I copied and pasted your template into my local environment, and it is working for me…when tickets are on sale, the price shows up (see screenshot), but it is hidden when the current date is outside the on-sale date range (see screenshot).

    Two things I noticed:

    • You’re using the Enfold theme, which has it’s own templates that override our template files. I believe you may need to take one extra step to get your template displayed instead of the Enfold version. I did a quick search to see if I could find any instructions for you, and I came across this thread, which looks like it has what you need (I was not able to see everything as you need to login to see the rest, but you should be able to access it if you have an active license). Also, as the user points out in that thread, you may want to make this modification in the Enfold version of the single-event.php template instead of our default version.
    • You are using an older version of The Events Calendar (4.6.8). Can you try updating to the current version (4.6.11.1) to see if that makes a difference? If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions.

Please let me know if this helps!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Thanks for sending that code. It looks like the message is showing in the intended location, but if you would like it to show in a different location, then you would need to modify the code.

I’m checking with one of our developers to see what he can recommend – I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back!
