Linking custom post type to events – do I need the PRO for testing?

Hi!
I’m trying to link a custom post type to my events calendar on a test site using these instructions: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/linked-post-types/#adding-types

I don’t get any errors but the new field doesn’t appear.

Do I have to have the paid Events Calendar Pro installed or can I test this feature/linking with the free Events Calendar?

Thanks for reaching out!

You do not need Events Calendar Pro to link other post types to events.

We are not able to provide technical support here in the Pre-Sales forum (even in our premium support forums, we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations). However, I would recommend testing this in a default environment (meaning with a default theme like Twenty Seventeen enabled and all other plugins disabled).
