KeymasterHi Chuck,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
With Community Events, you can allow users to add and submit events on the front-end of your WordPress site.
You can create a member-only calendar using the following tutorial:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/making-members-calendar/
In addition, if you’d like to use our products on a non-WordPress site, you may be interested in our product, Loxi, which can integrate an events calendar on a variety of sources, including Squarespace.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Dan,
I responded to your other thread, so I’m going to go ahead and close out this duplicate one.
See you over there!
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Brian,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
I tested the functionality with the URL that you provided and I did see the featured image come over from Eventbrite.
When you go to edit this event on the backend, do you see the featured image there?
Can you also check out the Eventbrite settings that you have on that page, specifically the one that I have annotated in the following screenshot:

Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Carsten,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing this problem.
Unfortunately, I could reproduce the same issue on my end. I have logged a bug report for this so it can be addressed in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.
I will set this thread’s status as “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.
Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterYes that is correct! Let me know if you have any other questions!

KeymasterHi Lisa,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately this functionality does not exist by default with our plugins.
You can try integrating a third-party plugin, like this one, although I cannot guarantee compatibility or provide support related to it.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Andrew,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
Unfortunately what you saw on our demo site is the way the functionality works by default.
It may be possible to achieve the results that you are looking for with some customizations on your part.
I’d recommend starting off by taking a look at our Themer’s Guide, which can show you which templates can be edited and copied in order to achieve the results that you are looking for.

We also have a great 30-day full refund policy, so if things really don’t work out the way you’d hoped, you can get a full refund.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

KeymasterHi Brian,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue!
Would you mind sharing the URL to an event that you are importing so that I can run some testing on my end?

KeymasterHi Alex,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first step, can you update all of your Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions? After doing so, please create a test event to see if you get the same results with this scenario.
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Ryan,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for providing me with all of this information!
It sounds like you have isolated the theme as the issue here.
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.
Basically the goal here is just for me to confirm that this issue is present on the latest version of our plugin. I cannot guarantee that I can provide a resolution to this issue.
Please also note that support for theme conflicts is limited as stated in our support policy.
You may also want to reach out to your theme developers in the meantime to see if they have any solutions for you on this issue as well.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Hannes,
Thanks so much for reaching out again!
You can try some of the solutions provided in the following forum thread in order to implement this feature:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-tickets-not-seen-to-wp-custom-user-role/
You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

KeymasterSure, this thread will self-close in three weeks with no activity however. If that does happen, feel free to open a new topic and reference this thread so that we can jump right back in!

July 17, 2018 at 4:32 am in reply to: Trying to change word "tickets" to "Register for event" (or something else…) #1576941Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Julie,
Here is the code that you should use to change the word ‘Tickets’ (just change the word ‘Test’):
function tribe_custom_theme_text ( $translation, $text, $domain ) {// Put your custom text here in a key => value pair
// Example: 'Text you want to change' => 'This is what it will be changed to'
// The text you want to change is the key, and it is case-sensitive
// The text you want to change it to is the value
// You can freely add or remove key => values, but make sure to separate them with a comma
// This example changes the label "Venue" to "Location", and "Related Events" to "Similar Events"
$custom_text = array(
'Tickets' => 'Test',
);// If this text domain starts with "tribe-", "the-events-", or "event-" and we have replacement text
if( (strpos($domain, 'tribe-') === 0 || strpos($domain, 'the-events-') === 0 || strpos($domain, 'event-') === 0) && array_key_exists($translation, $custom_text) ) {
$translation = $custom_text[$translation];
}
return $translation;
}
add_filter('gettext', 'tribe_custom_theme_text', 20, 3);Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
JaimeJaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi John,
You can add the snippet to your theme’s existing functions.php file (or child theme, if you have one). I’d recommend adding it towards the top of the file after the initial <?php.
You will have to edit the email addresses in the file so that it goes to the correct email addresses.
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
