ParticipantWe have a community calendar with multiple users listing events on the calendar. There is easily a couple of hundred events on the calendar at a time. Users are able to select multiple categories for their events, however, they are not able to select which category is primary on the front end. We need primary categories selected for each event. Otherwise, it has a detrimental effect on our ability to automate newsletters with event listings. And, there are too many events for administrators to manage on the back end. Please advise.

KeymasterHi Lisa,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately this functionality does not exist by default with our plugins.
You can try integrating a third-party plugin, like this one, although I cannot guarantee compatibility or provide support related to it.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantThanks Jaime, for the fast response!
Just want to be clear… even though Admins can select primary events on the backend with your plugin, another plugin may be needed or a developer so that our users can select primary events.
Thanks again.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
