in reply to: know the category ID #1368674

    Hi Rene,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

In order to find the Event Category ID, go to Events » Event Categories.

Then hover your mouse over one of the categories.

Look in the footer of your browser for tribe_events_cat&. The number after that is the category ID number.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Event ticket post timing out #1368667

    Hi Penny,

Great, thanks for providing me with those links.  I can see what you mean about the first page being much slower than the new raffle page.  Have you looked into some kind of caching plugin?  I know I linked to this earlier, but this may be something helpful for you to explore:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/

Also, you may be interested in exploring our recommended developer plugins.  Query Monitor in particular may be able to help to pinpoint where your site is slowing down, which can hopefully point you in the direction of how to speed things up.

You may also want to talk to your hosting company and see if there are any errors appearing in the PHP error logs on the page that was timing out.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Print list of attendees with details shown #1368656

    Hi Dallas,

Welcome and thanks for reaching out!

In order to achieve this, one suggestion that I have is for you to Export your list of Attendees, which you can click right next to the Print button on your Attendees page.  You can export this list to a program like Excel and then the additional fields should automatically be listed.  You can then print the list from there.  I know this involves an extra step, but it does save you time in avoiding clicking “View Details” for each of your attendees.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Sherly,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

Events Calendar PRO can create recurring events and automatically add them to your calendar.  With Events Tickets Plus, you also get e-commerce integration, which is where payment and ticket sales take place.  You do have the option to manage your stock as well with Event Tickets Plus.

I hope this helps to answer your question!  Please let me know if anything else comes up on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Adding a Calendar #1368643

    Hi Rachel,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

The $149 price is if you are using Events Calendar PRO on 3 sites.

If you need to display multiple calendars with specific sets of events on your site, you can use the category functionality built into The Events Calendar to achieve this easily. Category views will display by default using the same view that the main calendar is set to, so it’s a great way to have multiple calendars with unique events on each one. You can see an example of a category-specific calendar on our WP Shindig demo site here!

If you’d like to go a step further and embed category-specific calendar views into specific posts or pages, the [tribe_events] shortcode available in Events Calendar PRO will let you do just that. You can read more about this shortcode and how to use it on our Knowledgebase here.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Luke,

Thanks so much for reaching out again!

We do not provide support for using our plugin with W3TC, but we know many people do use it successfully.

http://tangerinemoons.com/using-wordpress-w3-total-cache-modern-tribes-event-calendar/has also been a good reference for some of our users too. It may help you, but the site and content are not ours.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: how to show the new ones to be the first? #1368556

    Hi Andrei,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

In order to show your events in reverse chronological order, you can try to add a snippet like this to your functions.php file:

    https://gist.github.com/geoffgraham/39d59bf67175e9b93bda

Note that this snippet may need to be adjusted based on the view you are looking to alter.

    Hi Jeffrey,

In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Feedback email after event #1368547

    Hi Rani,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

By default, Event Tickets Plus does send a variety of emails to attendees upon purchase of tickets, though there is no automatic feedback email generated.  You are welcome to try to add a third-party plugin, such as Follow Ups, that can help you achieve the results that you are looking for.  Please not that we are not affiliated with this plugin in any way and cannot guarantee compatibility.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
