know the category ID

hi. i’m planning to use a slider that allow custom post types: WP Responsive post slider – pro

and i realized that i can use the event calendar events using this shortcode:

[recent_post_carousel slides_to_show=”3″ limit=”9″ post_type=”tribe_events” taxonomy=”tribe_events_cat” category=”11,25″ design=”design-4″ show_date=”false” read_more_text=”Ver Más” show_author=”false”]

post_type => Custom post type
taxonomy => this is taxonomy of your custom post types.you can pass only on taxonomy of your post.
category => here is you category id of your taxonomy terms.you can pass here multiple category id with comma separator.

the plugin support told me that this is possible but i need to know the exact event category ID. i cant find the tribe_events_cat ID anywere. where are they?

Hi Rene,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

In order to find the Event Category ID, go to Events » Event Categories.

Then hover your mouse over one of the categories.

Look in the footer of your browser for tribe_events_cat&. The number after that is the category ID number.
