  • in reply to: Can Events Calendar display WP Job manager listings? #1371429

    Hi Joel,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

Although I cannot guarantee compatibility with WP Job Manager, you are welcome to try out The Events Calendar before purchasing Events Calendar PRO and see if you are able to achieve the functionality that you are looking for.

You can also check out our Themer’s Guide, which can show you how to customize our templates:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

Please let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Corey,

Thanks so much for reaching out!  I’m so sorry that we did not respond sooner, as we usually do not respond to threads over the weekend.

I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you and your events.  I hope everything went alright, please let me know if there’s anything else we can assist you with!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Scheduled imports not working #1371383

    Hi Andy,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

By default, Event Aggregator only fetches events that are one month in the future.  You can alter this setting by going to Events Settings < Imports < Global Import Settings

If the event is farther in the future, you can go to the individual event’s page on Facebook, and import that individual event as well.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Google Cal Duplicate Events #1371374

    Hi Brian,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this issue.  As a first step, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see.

Also, would you mind sharing the URL that you are importing, so that I can test if I see the same results?

Please let me know if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Venue and Organiser missing 'title' #1371360

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue on your site.  I found this error on your single events page:

As a first step, I would switch to a default WordPress theme, like “Twentyseventeen” and see if the issue is resolved.  You may also want to temporarily remove any custom code from your single-events.php template and see if the issue is still there.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: long import time and slow page call #1371336

    Hi Mario,

Unfortunately, I cannot give too much input about your imports, as you are using a third-party plugin to import your events.  If you are interested, you can purchase a license for Event Aggregator, which is our import service, or reach out to WP All Import, which it sounds like you’ve already done.

It’s difficult to give an exact number for how many events your site can hold because there are so many factors that go into the way that the data on your site loads.  You are welcome to take a look at the articles that I linked to in my previous reply to see if there is anything that you can adjust on your end to assist in the speed of your site.

In addition, installing a plugin like Query Monitor might be able to point you in the direction of where your site may be slowing down.

I know these are very general suggestions, but it is difficult to give more precise advice without more information about your site.  If you’d like some more specific advice, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Also, could you provide me with a link to your events page as well?

Let me know how all of this goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Payment gateway and multi-vendor question. #1371335

    Hi Fredrik,

At this time, the organizer can only be paid automatically via PayPal by enabling split payments.  As the site owner, you can opt to receive all payments and then manually send payments to organizers, using other payment gateways.

Here is more information on that topic:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/tracking-sales-getting-paid/

Please let me know if you need any further clarity on this issue!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Sandra,

Thank you for clarifying.  At this time, there is no order status for RSVP tickets.  However the order in which the attendees appear is the order in which the RSVPs were purchased.  So the first one listed was the first one purchased.

Feel free to add this suggestion to our feature requests, as we implement features with customer suggestions in mind: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas

Please let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Aeky,

Thanks so much for providing me with that information.

With this extension installed, a user will still be able to see the venues/organizers that they have created, in the form of a dropdown.  If a user has not created an venues/organizers, they will be prompted to create one.  You can check if it is working properly by visiting the community submission page in a private window, where you are logged out.  Or you can create a test user that has not created any venues or organizers, and visit the page with that user.

If you are still seeing the issue, as a next step,

let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Tagging on import #1371311

    Hi Bryan,

You are correct about that snippet.  Unfortunately, I don’t have a suggestion with more flexibility at this time, as we are limited by our Support Policy on how much we can assist with customizations.

You are welcome to vote on this idea as a feature request here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/17040562-event-aggregator-categories-tags

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with!

    Thanks,

in reply to: Mini calendar shortcode, events list sort order incorrect #1371304

    Hi Christopher,

I’m sorry to hear that testing for conflicts did not help to shed any light on the issue.  Would you be able to share a link to the page where you are experiencing the issue?

Please let me know if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Glad we could help, you are welcome back in our support forums any time!

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great week!

in reply to: how to show the new ones to be the first? #1371286

    Hi Andrei,

I’m sorry to hear that this isn’t working for you.

I just tested this snippet on my test site by adding it to the top of my theme’s functions.php file, right after the first <?php and it reverses the order of the posts in List View.  What view are you trying to change?

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: How many tickets is sold? #1371283

    Hi Dennis,

Great, thank you so much for taking care of that.

I will try to point you to some further documentation that can help to explain the behavior that you see on your site.

First, here is our article on refunds and cancelled ticket order.  You can make decisions about how to handle the ticket stock when an order is cancelled, as well as how to handle cancelled order in the attendees tab:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-cancel-tickets-order/

Here is another forum post where a user had a similar issue.  There is further documentation in this post as well:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/cancelled-other-status-being-included-in-ticket-count/

It sounds like what you are experiencing on your site is related to a known bug that we are currently working on.  I will add this thread to the report so that you will be notified when a fix is available.  I will mark this thread as Pending Fix for now.  In the meantime, you can manually change the total_sales numbers, as well as alter the stock in order to keep everything accurate.

Please let me know if you need any further clarification.  Thank you for your patience throughout this process.

    Thanks,

    Jaime
