Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

You are definitely on the right track with displaying different calendars by category, using a shortcode.

You have a few different stylesheets and page templates that you can choose from, in order to display our calendars on your site.  There are a variety of styles that range from Skeleton Styles, which have a minimal level of styling, to Tribe Event Styles, which is our most comprehensive level of styling.  You can play around with these styles to see what works for you.

In addition, our Themer’s Guide can point you to which templates and views can be copied and altered, as our plugins are highly customizable and user-friendly.

And finally, we have an awesome 30 day full refund policy, should you try things out and it doesn’t work out for you.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Ginnie,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Just to clarify, when you say “cancel a ticket”, are you referring to what occurs with attendees/orders when you delete a ticket or event?

Here is our article on Refunding and Cancelling Ticket Orders:

Please let me know if the information in the article helps to provide some clarity to you and if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Sounds good, thank you for your understanding.  Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Hi Trevor,

Thank you for providing me with that information.  I wish I had better news for you, but it appears that this is a known bug in our plugin.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.  I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.  They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.  The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.

In the meantime, a workaround is for you to add the shortcode to your template, like this:

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[tribe_events view="month" date="2017-11"]') ?>

Note that the date should be included in order for this to work properly.

Thank you for your patience as we see this through.  Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Conflict with theme customization. #1385426

    Hi Julián,

As a first troubleshooting step, we usually ask our customers to run through our testing for conflict procedure.  This includes switching to a default theme and deactivating plugins, in order to determine if there is in fact a conflict between our plugin and something else.

Since it seems as if this is something you cannot do at this time, it is difficult to troubleshoot.  If you deactivate our plugins, do things return to normal?

In addition, we have a new version of The Events Calendar that was released just yesterday.  Please update your plugin and let me know if the issue still exists.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Sounds good, please let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions in the meantime!

in reply to: How to separate tickets? #1385424

    Hi Jon,

I apologize if I was unclear.  I believe I understood your question, however we do not have this functionality out of the box, which I why I offered that snippet to you.

Another option would be for you to add the following extension to your site, so that you can add a “view tickets” link for your tickets, and from there you can select individual tickets:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/view-print-download-pdf-tickets/

You are welcome to vote on this feature request, as we take our customer feedback into consideration when we implement new features:

Please let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions on this topic!

in reply to: Current/Latest Events Not Updating #1384837

    Hi Sim,

Great, thanks for getting that information to me.

As a next step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Recurring Event Adds Multiple Events for Each Day #1384835

    Hi Josh,

Great, thanks for providing me with that information.

The list of recurring events appearing as individual events, as in your screenshot, is expected behavior.  If you set your recurrence rule to never end, it will continue to create events for you in the future.

You have the option to clean up recurring events after a certain period of time and/or set the time for how far in advance to create recurring events.  You can alter this setting under Events Settings < General.

    Let me know your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Maria,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you have been experiencing this issue and I apologize for the delay.

Anyway, I noticed that you seem to not have any post types enabled for tickets.  If you go to Events Settings < Tickets, you can check events in “Post types that can have tickets” and Save Changes:

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Not filtering in Chrome; Locations not working at all #1384794

    Hi William,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I checked your site and I see this error in the console:

You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.

If you have more possibilities to add your API key (e.g. in the theme options or other plugins), then remove all and leave only one. I cannot advise which one, you might need to play around with that a bit.

Check this and let me know if the issue is solved.

    Thanks,

    Jaime
