ParticipantI have two calendars on my site. The default calendar and the one I am embedding here: https://mmworkshops.wpengine.com/workshops/calendar/
But if you navigate to say the next month -> December, then REFRESH / RELOAD the page there are issues. If you were on a calendar view that had results, it now shows there are no results. Additionally, now the navigation to Prev / Next month goes to URL is for the root calendar, so you totally leave this page and would end up here https://mmworkshops.wpengine.com/events-calendar/ if you do that. But already something is funky because on refresh the template has changed and it’s already showing the full width template of the default calendar.
So it’s like on refresh if you navigate at all you are kicked back to the main calendar. If you don’t navigate and just refresh the page, then ya everything works fine, but as soon as you do anything that causes the calendar AJAX to fire it’s broken.
NOTE, staging site where I have de-activated everything and running 2017 theme only. http://mmw.cldev.biz/workshops/calendar/ — Same issue —. 🙁
This a known issues with embedding calendar views? Hopefully not, because that would be a major issue. Thanks!

KeymasterHi Jane,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with our plugin. Would you mind sharing the shortcode that you are using, so that I can do some testing on my end as well?
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jamie,
Sorry for the previous reply going to the forum, there was some confusion there. The shortcode being used in this case is:
[tribe_events view=”month” category=”workshops”]
Also, if you would find it useful, I can give you full access (via a private reply) to the old staging version of the site that is no longer used so you can do any kind of testing you want there.
Cheers,
Trevor.November 17, 2017 at 4:37 am #1385430Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Trevor,
Thank you for providing me with that information. I wish I had better news for you, but it appears that this is a known bug in our plugin.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
In the meantime, a workaround is for you to add the shortcode to your template, like this:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[tribe_events view="month" date="2017-11"]') ?>Note that the date should be included in order for this to work properly.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through. Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jamie,
Thanks for the update! That’s too bad this is a known issue as it’s a pretty major issue for this feature that is promoted as a benefit of a PRO subscription.
There is a problem with your suggested code though, it doesn’t include the category filter. And having that filter is the key reason for this embedded calendar. If I put the category back in as so:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[tribe_events view="month" category="workshops" date="2017-11"]') ?>… Then it not longer works properly, the same issues exist. Is there any way to add in the category filter as well, because without that it’s completely useless in this use case.
Thank you!

KeymasterHi Trevor,
I’m sorry that the shortcode workaround isn’t working for you. Though I can’t make any guarantees, one suggestion that I have is to try a third-party plugin for now, like The Events Calendar Shortcode. Please note that we are not affiliated with this plugin in any way, so I cannot guarantee compatibility.
We are actively working on this issue and will have it fixed as soon as we can.
Please let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime. Thank you for understanding!
Thanks,
Jaime
