    Hi Nancy,

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete updated system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Just to clarify, this should work without an Event Aggregator license, for an Eventbrite event.

Can you also provide me with the URL to the Eventbrite event that you are trying to import?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Imported Events duplicating #1586560

    Hi Esther,

Thanks for running through that testing.

I tried to replicate the behavior that you’re describing, and importing (and re-importing) the URL that you provided worked as expected and did not duplicate.

Can you try going to a bare WordPress install (no other plugins installed and default WordPress theme), delete and clear out the import, and then re-enter the import and see if it duplicates then?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: CSV import not importing all events #1586548

    Hi Jeff,

If you change the settings under Events Settings < Imports for Import Limit Type to Do not limit, do you see the same results?

I was able to import all events from your CSV with these settings.

Let me know if you see the same results!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Irina,

Here is a list of all of our available functions with descriptions available:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/functions/

And here is the description for the function that you are using specifically:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/function/tribe_get_event_link/

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Spam Comments from Old Scheduled Imports #1586543

    Hi Heather,

Can you take a screenshot of where you see that import? Is it a schedule import or a one-time import that is stuck?

Could you also please flush your transients using a plugin like Transients Manager or via server, using WP-CLI? You can flush all of your transients (WordPress will repopulate them as necessary), or just the one associated with our plugin: “tribe_aggregator_origins”.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Steven,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

This isn’t currently a confirmed issue so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Whenever troubleshooting, it’s best to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).

If there’s nothing obvious (such as a console error or WP_DEBUG message) pointing you to what might be the problem, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

Note that https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/ may prove helpful as well. (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)

Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.

If you still need assistance with this, please share (or re-share) your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply.

That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Issues with the Calendar PRO month arrows #1585792

    Hi Alexandra,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

In addition, as a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    • A conflict with another plugin
    • A conflict with your WordPress theme
    • A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    • Make a backup of your database
    • Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Kristin,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m not immediately able to replicate the behavior that you are describing.

in reply to: Recurring tooltip text is misleading and unclear #1585781

    Hi Stephy,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing this problem.

Unfortunately, I could reproduce the same issue on my end. I have logged a bug report for this so it can be addressed in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.

I will set this thread’s status as “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.

As a workaround for now, you can try using the snippet provided in the following article in order to change the wording there:

in reply to: CSV import has issues and won't stop #1585763

    Hi Christian,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Although you may already know this, when you do a CSV import, in the Preview, you have to select the field at the top of each column to ensure that it is imported properly.

Can you try re-importing the CSV file in that way and see if it goes through?

If not, can you provide me with the URL that you are trying to import, so that I can do some testing on my end?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: error inserting place community event #1585762

    Hi Gennaro,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Can you elaborate on the issue that you are experiencing?  As I understand it, when you add a venue to the front-end Community Events submission form, the venue is not saved.  Is that correct?

In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.

in reply to: All-day events are not showing on Google Search #1585757

    Hi Tim,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Just to give you a bit more background information, we use JSON for Linking Data in relation to events.  You can see how our demo site turns up in Google Structured Data Testing Tool results. https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=http%3A%2F%2Fwpshindig.com%2Fevents%2F

I would recommend incorporating https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-schemaorg-rich-snippets/ into your site for further schema markup as needed.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

Unfortunately with Event Tickets Plus, if one person purchases multiple tickets, all of those tickets are automatically emailed to the purchaser of the ticket.

You do have the ability to add additional attendee information to each of the tickets, so they can include who the ticket is for and their email address as well.

Feel free to check out the free Event Tickets first and see if it provides you with the functionality that you are looking for.

You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
