ParticipantHi Team,
The Next / Prev month arrows are not working properly.
After clicking on an arrow the calendar shows a loading state and the URL changes, but the month doesn’t really change.
Also, the page title on the browser tab changes to “undefined”.We have not edited the plugin code, but we did override a few templates, as instructed in the template files from the theme.
Versions used are:
Events 4.6.20.1
Events Pro 4.4.29.1Thanks in advance.

KeymasterHi Alexandra,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
In addition, as a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Alexandra,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
Unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.
Can you confirm that with a bare WordPress install (default WordPress theme and no other plugins installed) that the issue still existed?
Can you also please update all of your Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions and see if that helps?
In addition, can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime,
We’ve run a few more tests. See below for the batch of tests, and results:
- We disabled all plugins on the website, except for the “The Events Calendar” and “The Events Calendar PRO”
- On the console, we’re seeing the following errors/warnings showing up:
- “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘getFullYear’ of undefined”
- “Timer ‘Tribe JS Init Timer’ does not exist”
- “TEC Debug: tribe_ev.fn.update_picker sent “undefined” to the boostrapDatepicker”
- We proceeded to changing the theme to WordPress’s Default Theme, with the same results.
- We’ve tested with a fresh install of WordPress, to no avail.
- Debug messages are as below, based on the enablement of “WP_DEBUG” and “WP_DEBUG_LOG”, for our current installation setup (They won’t be helpful, we assume):<br>
`HP Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$cta_type in /var/www/httpdocs/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/basis/class/classFE.php on line 252
HP Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$cta_type in /var/www/httpdocs/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/basis/class/classFE.php on line 255`
Kindly waiting to hear from you.
Thanks.

KeymasterThanks for providing me with that information.
It looks like the notice that you are seeing is related to your theme. Do you have all other theme-related plugins disabled there as well?
In addition, can you try updating all of your Events Calendar related plugins to see if this issue still occurs after doing so?
Let me know what you find!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime,
The errors passed on above made it to the logs before I turned off the theme and moved to WordPress’s default theme.
I’m more concerned with the Javascript errors. While “Timer ‘Tribe JS Init Timer’ does not exist” is a JS warning, and not specifically an error, the other two (“Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘getFullYear’ of undefined” and “TEC Debug: tribe_ev.fn.update_picker sent “undefined” to the boostrapDatepicker”) are Javascript errors that point to either the button calling the function “update_picker” not being appropriately created, which in turn does not pass on the appropriate property, or to the fact that the property “getFullYear”, which I’m not aware of when is created, or by what script, breaking javascript functionality from that point onwards.I’ve updated to the most recent version of the Events Calendar plugin.
I’ve managed to find the following:- I can now see arrow and month name for months prior to current month.
- I cannot see the current month.
- If I click to navigate to the previous month, nothing happens. However, if I refresh, the calendar will load the month that was supposed to be selected.
- If I try to go past September 2018, I see the error “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘getFullYear’ of undefined at HTMLInputElement.<anonymous> (tribe-events-ajax-calendar.min.js?ver=4.6.21:1)”.
- The li with class “tribe-events-nav-next” doesn’t get populated with an anchor tag.
Kindly waiting to hear from you.
Thanks

KeymasterHi Alexandra,
Thanks for providing that information.
Can you confirm that you still see this issue with a default WordPress theme, like ‘Twentyseveteen’?
In addition, can you provide me with a link to the page where you are seeing this issue?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
