    Hi Sheri,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of where you are seeing current events in your Dashboard? Are you referring to clicking on Events in the backend?  If so, those events will be filtered chronologically, but you can change that by clicking on one of the headings at the top of that list.

To answer your second question, you can automatically clean up recurring events by going to Events Settings < General and choose to “Clean up recurring events after” a shorter period of time.  For other events, you can do things manually, or choose to use a third-party plugin like Bulk Delete to help you take care of this.

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Google Calendar Missing Event Descriptions #1445031

    Hi Adam,

I’m sorry that things still aren’t working properly for you.  The URLs from your Google Calendar seem to be working properly, as the event descriptions came in for me when I imported them.   Can you try creating a fresh WordPress install and seeing if the issue still occurs?

The other option is to manually add in the descriptions for the events that don’t have descriptions when imported.  I know this may be a tedious process, but it will at least temporarily resolve the issue.

    Let me know your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Filter Bar Date Picker Conflict #1445019

    Hi Susan,

I took a look at your site and selected a category, then selected a date.  Because there were no events on that date in that category, it showed me the upcoming events.  However, if you look at the tab at the top, it is showing February 10.  This is all expected behavior.

Let me know if you are seeing the same results and if the issue lies somewhere else that I am missing.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Chris,

Okay, now I understand that these filters were automatically generated by Filter Bar.  In that case, you can create a custom filter for Filter Bar using the following tutorial:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-custom-filters-for-filter-bar/

I hope this helps, let me know if you need any further clarification!

    Thanks,

in reply to: Sticky Events #1444996

    Hi Raymond,

In other words, you’d like to set up a single event with no end date?  Unfortunately, you can’t really set up something that way.  If you don’t set up an end-date, it will pre-populate that field with the same date as the start date.

You can do something like the following, where you set up an all-day event that recurs every day, and never ends:

Let me know if that helps answer your question!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi John,

Have you set anything up at /calendar-of-events? Or ever had anything set up there?

Let me know how the testing for conflicts goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Gretchen,

Can you provide me with some screenshots of how you have things set up?  I’d like to try to replicate this issue on my test site.

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Gabriel,

According to your system information, some of your plugins are not up-to-date.  Would you mind double-checking and re-sending your system information.

Also, for now, you can try removing the attendee column, which indicates the percentage of tickets sold:

    add_filter( 'tribe_tickets_supported_admin_columns', '__return_empty_array' );

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Events Import from Google Calendar not working. #1444960

    Hi Tabea,

If you go to Events Settings < Help, you should see the system information there.  Can you copy and paste it here in a private reply?

Also, I’m not seeing a screenshot attached, would you mind re-sending it?

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi TJ,

So far, with the screenshots that you have provided, I am unable to replicate the issue that you are describing.

Let me know how your testing goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi David,

Thanks so much for reaching out!  I apologize for the delay, as most of our team was away on the team trip. and we are experiencing a high volume of threads.

In any case, as a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Before doing this, please make sure that all of your Events Calendar related plugins are up-to-date.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
