View current events in dashboard

How in the world do you view current events in the dashboard view? I have yet to be able to figure out how to view what is currently on the calendar in the dashboard. It is showing events from 2016 or events in 2020. I just want to see what is live now in the top portion of the events section.

Part two is there any way to automatically purge old events? Would that help resolve this?

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of where you are seeing current events in your Dashboard? Are you referring to clicking on Events in the backend?  If so, those events will be filtered chronologically, but you can change that by clicking on one of the headings at the top of that list.

To answer your second question, you can automatically clean up recurring events by going to Events Settings < General and choose to “Clean up recurring events after” a shorter period of time.  For other events, you can do things manually, or choose to use a third-party plugin like Bulk Delete to help you take care of this.
