ModeratorHey André,
Thank you for reaching out and sorry to hear about the issue. Unfortunately, theme conflicts extend beyond what we’re able to cover here on the support forms (see What support is provided for license holders?)
If you haven’t already, I recommend reaching out to your theme author to see if they have any insight on the matter. This trick has saved me countless times: simply right-click your mouse and open ‘Inspect’ to see if any errors display in your console. From there, it should give you a clear indication on what is causing the troubles and hopefully, with enough experience/research, you can solve the problem in a timely manner.
If things get above your skill set, we have a list of customizers that can help assist. Sorry we can’t do much here and have a great weekend. Cheers!

ModeratorHello Heidi,
We’d be happy to honor your request! To get things going, please visit our Refunds page. I would like to ask, are there any particular issues you need assistance with, or are things simply not working out? We’d love to try and see if we can help solve the issue so you don’t have to spend the time looking for another solution, testing, etc.
If you want, reply back with specific issues you’re having and I’ll do my best to address them. If not, please visit the linked to Refunds page above and we’ll get it processed for you. Thanks and have a great weekend. Cheers!

ModeratorHey Douglas,
Thank you for reaching out!
The best way to “draw” events into your website would be via the iCal Importer or Facebook Events plugin. We are nearing release of Events Aggregator which will be “replacing” the iCal and Facebook Events plugins as they’ll be few of many options available to import events into your site via Events Aggregator.
I hope this clears up any confusion you might have had and please feel free to reply back with any more questions or concerns you have. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend. Cheers!

ModeratorHey Julien,
Welcome 🙂
From what you’ve described, it sounds like you’ve come to the right place! Our Community Events plugin allows non-admin users to submit events from the “front end” of your website. To allow users the ability to add tickets to their submitted events, you would also need to purchase Community Tickets and Event Tickets Plus. More info can be found to each product page which I’ve linked to above.
Save money by purchasing our Community Manager bundle to save $28 compared to purchasing the plugins individually… plus you get the Filter Bar plugin included at no additional cost!
I hope this answers your question and please feel free to reply back with any more inquiries you might have. Cheers!

ModeratorHey Michelle,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m really not sure as to why the ‘Day’ option is only displaying weekdays and not weekends. If you haven’t already, can you please review our Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with your findings? Also, have you tried creating an event for a weekend day to see if the Filterbar displays the weekend day you created the event for?
Let me know and have a great weekend. Cheers!

ModeratorHey Stephen,
Thank you for reaching out. The versions of both TEC and PRO you’re using are fairly old. Are you able to update to the latest versions, run through the Testing for conflicts guide, and reply back with your findings?
Let me know the results and we’ll continue investigating. Have a great weekend and thanks again. Cheers!

ModeratorHey John,
This looks like a potential theme conflict which we’re unfortunately unable to support, though I’ll see if we can track down the cause of conflict.
I see you checked ‘Yes’ to reverting back to the default WP theme and deactivating all plugins other than ours as outlined in the Testing for conflicts guide, but can you please confirm this?
Let me know what the results are and please include your System Information as a private reply. Thanks and have a great weekend!

ModeratorHey Ally!
Sorry to hear about the strange issue! I see you checked ‘Yes’ to reverting back to the default WP theme and deactivating all plugins other than ours as outlined in our Testing for conflicts guide, but can you please confirm this?
More specifically, try creating a user with the correct role and permissions to post an event, create a new event, and see if the issue still occurs.
Thanks and have a great weekend!

ModeratorHello,
Before I test the issue myself, and sorry to ask again, but does the behavior still occur after reviewing the Testing for conflicts guide? This includes disabling the error handling tool you’re using.
Lastly, do you have JavaScript turned off in your browser? Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!

ModeratorHello,
We unfortunately don’t take on these types of customizations ourselves, but we have a list of customizers that can help! Best of luck 🙂

ModeratorHello,
I understand the links I referred to apply mainly to the front end, I simply like to share them in any conversation regarding performance. With that said, I truly do apologize I don’t have a better answer for you at this time other than pointing out I’ve included this forum thread in the logged report regarding your issues. Additionally, we are always working towards improving how our plugin handles large amounts of data, so please don’t think we are “writing off” the feedback users who have a lot of events, venues, and organizers give us.
I brought this thread up in our team conversation and a support member recommended you check out Pantheon web hosting as it might be beneficial in this instance. Again, my apologies I don’t have a solid answer as to what our approach is from here on our in regards to your specific issue, but it’s been noted and will be reviewed and acted upon as the developers see fit.
Thank you for the constructive criticism and detailed explanations and please let me know if you have any more questions or comments. Have a great weekend.

ModeratorHey Stephanie,
If you visit Events > Settings > Display, we have included a few options that give you more power over how your events are displayed. Additionally, we have a few reports logged aimed to improve the layout stylings. I can’t find anything about adding additional layouts as we usually refer users to our Themer’s Guide if they want to create something unique.
If you would like to see more layouts in future releases, I invite you to recommend just that via our UserVoice Feature Ideas page.
I hope this sufficiently answers your questions and have a great weekend. Cheers!
September 30, 2016 at 4:45 pm in reply to: Reduce the length of event excerpt text shown in event listing templates #1171294Hunter
ModeratorShaun,
Sorry to hear it’s not working out as planned. Try this snippet out as I had success with it earlier today:
function custom_excerpt_length( $length ) {
return 20;
}
add_filter( 'excerpt_length', 'custom_excerpt_length', 999 );Let me know if this one does the trick and have a great weekend!

ModeratorHey Aaron,
Without having specific instructions to try and reproduce the issue, it’s hard for me to give an exact answer on where the conflict is coming from and if it is in fact a bug. The timezone settings can admittedly be quite confusing, so if you haven’t already read through our Working with timezones KB article, it’s definitely recommended.
I’ll keep this thread open for the time being but please feel free to reply back if you come across any new discoveries. Thanks and have a great weekend. Cheers!
