Start Times Changing Sporadically

    Title says it all. Events (both imported and created on-site) are affected by a bug that changes the start time randomly. We think it has to do with timezones. Please advise.

    Hey Aaron,

    Sorry to hear about the random start times. Can you send over your timezone settings under WP Settings > General? Also, could you elaborate a bit more on what exactly is happening, when it’s happening, etc? Screenshots are always helpful.

    Unfortunately it’s about 3-4 people that are inputting events so it’s going to be hard to pin down exactly when the change happens. I am writing on behalf of a client.

    The timezone setting was set to “use local time zones for venues” but I recall recently switching that to “use sitewide timezone”

    I just flipped it back to that.

    I also fixed geolocation data for venues via the alert at the top. that may have been part of the issue.

    So as of this message, the plugin is set to sitewide timezone. so we’ll see if the bug happens again.

    Hey Aaron,

    Without having specific instructions to try and reproduce the issue, it’s hard for me to give an exact answer on where the conflict is coming from and if it is in fact a bug. The timezone settings can admittedly be quite confusing, so if you haven’t already read through our Working with timezones KB article, it’s definitely recommended.
