GuestSo with the Pro version, will I be able to draw information from other similar events calendars to populate mine?

ModeratorHey Douglas,
Thank you for reaching out!
The best way to “draw” events into your website would be via the iCal Importer or Facebook Events plugin. We are nearing release of Events Aggregator which will be “replacing” the iCal and Facebook Events plugins as they’ll be few of many options available to import events into your site via Events Aggregator.
I hope this clears up any confusion you might have had and please feel free to reply back with any more questions or concerns you have. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend. Cheers!

GuestAny anticipated release date for the aggregator?

GuestAnother question, how can I tell if a particular events calendar is using an iCal feed?

ModeratorHello,
I wish I could give you a concrete date on when Events Aggregator will be released, but these things are an ebb and flow, thus impossible to give a concrete deadline. In response to your second question: there is no real way to tell whether an event is using an iCal feed. The only way to know whether events are attached to an iCal feed is to have a link to the desired .ics files/feeds.
I hope this helps and have a great Tuesday. Cheers!

GuestThank you for your responses. One more question, I’m looking to have multiple categories for our calendar. I also want a zip code search, so people can drill down to events in their area. Is it possible to have zip code results in a specific category only?
October 7, 2016 at 11:19 pm #1174008Hunter
ModeratorHello,
By typing a zip code into the ‘Near’ box on our demo site, you can then expand the Filter Bar and select a category, which will display events as you’ve explained.
Let me know if that helps and have a great rest of your weekend. Take care!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
