ParticipantHey @fifteen,
Thanks for reaching out. There’s unfortunately no way to use different templates for all the different admin community pages like you describe. I’m sorry to bear that news. π
Next, you ask this:
There are only two functions along this line. Those functions are as follows:
tribe_is_community_edit_event_page
- This function checks if you’re on the main submission page
tribe_is_community_my_events_page
- This function checks if you’re viewing the “My Events” admin page
There aren’t functions like this other than those two specific ones above, but I hope this helps!
As for the CSS issue, the CSS works fine for me, but we will investigate this. If there’s indeed a bug, we’ll make a development ticket and publish a fix in a future Maintenance Release.
Please let me know if this information helps and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Albert,
Sorry to hear this!
I cannot recreate this problem.
1. Does this only happen when you’re editing or creating tickets? Or does it happen if you don’t use the “tickets” metabox at all?
2. What I would recommend doing is enabling tickets on another “default” post type, like “Posts” or “Pages”. Then see if the issue happens on these post types. What do you find when you do this? Does it only happen on your custom “events” post type?
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantI’m sorry to hear about this, Sarvanshu! I cannot recreate this problem, so here’s what I would recommend doing:
1. Deactivate and then DELETE both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro from your site. This will not erase any event data.
2. Download a fresh copy of The Events Calendar from theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
3. Install this fresh copy of The Events Calendar on your site.
4. Activate this fresh copy of The Events Calendar on your site, and then see if these errors come up anywhere again. What do you find?
5. If errors do arise, then this indicates a problem with your server and/or a plugin or theme conflict. So if errors persist after these steps, skip down to “The Troubleshooting Steps” below.
6. If no errors arise, then download a fresh copy of Events Calendar Pro from theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads and install it on your site.
7. Activate this fresh copy of The Events Calendar on your site, and then see if these errors come up anywhere again. What do you find?
8. If errors do arise, then this indicates a problem with your server and/or a plugin or theme conflict. So if errors persist after these steps, skip down to “The Troubleshooting Steps” below.
The Troubleshooting Steps
β’ Do the complete set of troubleshooting steps on this page β https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ After EACH STEP in that process, try to recreate the error messages and see what you find.
β’ If the error message persist even after all of those steps, then this indicates there could be a server-specific issue. So contact the Media Template support team and report your findings, including a link back to this forum thread for reference to show all of the testing you’ve already done.
Let us know how things go!

ParticipantSorry to hear this Timothy!
Our plugins would not generate this sort of error, and so it may be something arising from a server issue or an issue with your theme or other plugins on your site.
Here’s what I would recommend doing:
1. Contact your web host’s support team to see if they have any insight on this. There may be a server or .htaccess issue causing this, and they can tell if that’s the case and/or offer a solution.
2. If that’s not fruitful, do the complete set of troubleshooting steps on this page β https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ After EACH STEP in that process, go back and try to “make event post or work on any old events” and see if the error goes away anywhere along in the process.
Let us know what you find! π

March 1, 2017 at 8:20 am in reply to: βThe URL provided did not have events in the proper format.β error #1247658George
ParticipantHey Colin,
Is it possible to use the HTML link at all?
The HTML link cannot be used for importing.
Do you have any idea why the iCal link might not be working?
The link does work. But it is empty and has no events, so it is giving the “proper format” error because there is no event data in it.
Does this help?

February 28, 2017 at 7:51 pm in reply to: Multiple Qs! Duplicating event. Restrict Details to non-members. #1247367George
ParticipantHi Sarah!
Thanks for reaching out. I’ll answer questions as follows. π
Q1. Is there an option to create a calendar view which is restricted? β> To only see MONTH view without details when hover (to entice non-members to sign up).
Our plugins do not have an option for doing this out-of-the-box β you’d have to tinker with your memberships plugin to get it working well, and we also have some notes about doing this in other ways on this guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/members-only-calendar/
Q2. Can I duplicate a βDinner and Moviesβ event from one month to another with ability to make changes? Eg Same day of week and location but different time / film title.
Our plugins do not have any such “duplication” feature, unfortunately. π
Q3. Retaining credit card details in case of FREE tickets to VIP members who donβt show up (without cancelling) and will be charged after the event (because otherwise could have sold that ticket to regular member).
Our plugins do not store or capture credit card details, ever. There is no way to make them do this.
Q4. I have Events Calendar Pro add on to enable me to scan attendees QRcode β in what area do I set this up?
QR Codes are a feature of Event Tickets Plus, not Events Calendar Pro. QR Codes show up automatically on tickets that customers receive.
I hope this information helps! π

February 28, 2017 at 7:47 pm in reply to: How to combine RSVPs for multiple events for 1 person #1247361George
ParticipantHello! π
Is there a way to have a person who enters for multiple events β counted as just one person?
There is unfortunately not a way to do this with our plugins at this time. π
Sorry to disappoint! Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for noting that the fix there works well β this is a bug we’re actively investigating, and I will post updates about that bug to this thread as we learn more.
Stay tuned!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantI am not sure about that Extension, but will see if one of our developers can take a closer look β if we find a bug, we’ll fix it!
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with. π

ParticipantThanks Devin!
The issues on your submission page are not ones that I can recreate, and it appears to be the result of either a theme or plugin conflict.
What I would recommend is to do the complete set of troubleshooting steps on this page β https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ After EACH STEP in that process, check back on the submission page and see if anything improves along the way.
Let us know what you find!

ParticipantThanks for this information Donald, and for your patience here.
What I have done for now is set up some test imports of my own of that facebook page (facebook.com/sheetmusicdeals) β I will report back with my findings!

February 28, 2017 at 7:28 pm in reply to: Single Page Event Not Rendering Properly On Optimizepress 2.0 Page #1247354George
ParticipantThis information does help, David, and I appreciate both your explanation here and your patience with this issue.
When it comes to these issues, there are a few things I’m curious about:
1. Have you made any modifications to any plugin files for The Events Calendar or Events Calendar Pro?
2. If you head to Events β Settings β Display in your site’s wp-admin, what is the value of the “Events template” option there?
3. For this “Events template” option, I would recommend trying out every single available template. Choose a template, save the changes, and then check out all of the pages you showed in the screenshots above. Does anything with the “main events page” and “single events page” display issues improve with any particular templates?
Let us know what you find!
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Nathan,
I’m sorry about the file download error there β we have an Extension that may help with recurring-event cleanup, which you can find here: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/recurring-event-cleanup-tool/
But that Extension may not be the best tool, and so if you’re willing to sit tight a bit longer, I am working with other developers on our team to see if we can locate the actual tool that we tried linking to on CloudUp there…
…sit tight!

ParticipantHey Craig,
Our ticketing plugins unfortunately do not support recurring events at this time β there’s no “recurring tickets” features either.
Tickets can only ever be applied to one event at a time β not to a whole recurrence series, nor to multiple events at a time, etc.
Sorry to bear that news! Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

ParticipantYou can indeed make extensive customizations to the edit-event.php, including adding widgets to it, though this is not something we’ll be able to help with directly as described in more detail here.
“Calling a page” from within edit-event.php could mean many different things. If you mean redirecting to another page, that’s indeed possible. If you mean making edit-event.php use a specific theme page template, that’s not possible. If you mean loading data from another page on your site and injecting it into edit-event.php, that’s possible.
I wish you the best of luck with this tinkering. Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.
