MemberGood evening Chris and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. Can you tell me if it is possible to use a different page template other than the default site template or the default events template?
Yes, any template can work as long as it includes the WordPress loop for WP archives to display properly.
You can select the page template to use from Events -> Settings -> Display
Also, can you tell me if there are additional events templates supplied with the PRO version?
Pro comes with many great features, but not additional templates.
With that in mind, there are quite a few premium WordPress themes out there that offer customization templates with our plugins. Avada and Eventica are 2 of the most popular ones, but you might want to research this.
Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic.I need to export the events from the original site and import it to the development site.
How is this done?Actually, I believe we have just the thing for you.
You will be able to achieve this using our Event Aggregator service: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/event-aggregator/
This service offers many calendar import options. One of them is to import events from another site using the Events Calendar (as long as they are both using “similar” versions of the Events Calendar).
Another way to go about this is to simply try the built-in WordPress export tools and select Events.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

I would love to help you with this topic. One of the technical challenges I think we’ll have is to merge all of the calendars together when we get ready to merge all the sites. Is there a path or tool to be able to do this easily?

We’ll be glad to answer your questions. We host our website through a different service, can I still use Event Tickets Plus or Events Calendar Pro?
The great news is that we will soon release an exciting new service that lets customers that are not using WordPress enjoy the great functionality of our plugins: http://m.tri.be/19qc
With that in mind, we will not be rolling out all the features of the Events Calendar Pro or Event Tickets Plus from day-one. But we will gradually work our way up there.
In the meantime, the only way to achieve what you are looking for would be to install the plugins on a WordPress site and use an iframe to embed that site on your current site.

We’ll be glad to answer your questions.is it possible to work with different views depending on categories?
The short answer is yes. But you will definitely need to use template overrides (view customizations) to achieve that.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Would be also ok, if I can select in a shortcode category and category-depending view.
With the Events Calendar Pro you do have access to shortcodes. However, the level of control you have over them is not quite what you might be looking for.
See for yourself: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
I guess you could “cheat” by using the shortcodes in different page templates.
In turn, that would allow you to have different CSS rules that would hide the undesired elements when a certain page template is selected.Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

We’ll be glad to answer your questions.First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual. Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things. Will your event plugin disrupt the theme customization of my site: colors, fonts, menu?
The short answer is probably not.
We work really hard at making sure our plugins respect WordPress coding best practices. In fact we even have options in our plugin to help keep the same colors, fonts and css rules as your WordPress theme.
That being said, there are times where there are conflicts.
If that is the case, simply deactivating our plugin will fix it.With that in mind, we are always interested in knowing about such conflicts and often times we are able to offer a solution or workaround for such situations.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

I cannot find where to drop it into the Events ticket plus plugin
To be able to add the Event Tickets Plus license key, you need to first download, install and activate that plugin.
You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/
I did read something about a multisite, but went to my multisite settings and there still isn’t a place to drop my new license.
You probably read that although it is cool to use a personal license on a multisite install, there are a couple of caveats. Namely:
- You need to install the plugin at the sub-site level (not the network level)
- You will not be able to automatically update the plugin from the wp-admin area
Let me know if that helps.

With that I will be in a better position to help out.
is there a way add the entire calendar as a shortcode, instead of the default “Events” page?
Absolutely. You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.Does your software work with woocommerce?
Yes it does.
There are 2 ways to go about this:
- Add WooCommerce products directly inside your events or link to them inside your events
- Use our awesome Event Tickets Plus plugin that integrates perfectly with WooCommerce: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
Aside from the products pages you can look at a few of our demos here: http://wpshindig.com/events/
Let me know if that helps.

MemberGood evening George and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support here in our pre-sales forum.
We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:
- On the WordPress.org support forum if you are using our free plugins
- If you’re a current premium license holder for one of our premium offerings, please log in to your account and submit a post to the appropriate forum for the affected product.
With that in mind, you will probably want to take a look at the following article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
What you want to do is replace the Word “events” with classes everywhere.
In other words, that specific string actually looks like this “%s for %s of” (where the first %s stands for “events”).You might also like the following extension that makes this very simple: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/change-labels-events-venues-organizers/
