Page title doesn't show on main events calendar view

Hi,

Piggybacking on what I think is the same issue, but since the reply to it was private I can’t see if it might help me.

Check out my calendar page: https://keypennews.com/events/. The page title is just “I Key Peninsula News.” That should probably be something like “Events Calendar | Key Peninsula News.”

If I click on an event, the title becomes “Events | Key Peninsula News,” which seems ok. Maybe your stack is one off, and the title should show “Events” at the top (on the calendar page), but the name of the event on each event page?

I’m using the Full Style stylesheet, default event template.

I am not sure if you are experiencing the same issue, but let’s find out.

Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

Thanks Geoff! The added the snippets and now I get the right titles for Venue, Organizer etc, and the title for List/Week/Day views is Events. Month view is still blank though, so the second snippet doesn’t seem to help.

I’ll zip and share the theme files sometime in the next couple of days.

Thank you for the files.
I installed them on my test website, and I am glad to report that the second snippet included in your version worked like a charm.

So there is most likely something else at play here.

Here are a couple of things to try out:

1. Play around with your SEO settings (in the settings panel of Extra)
2. With a maintenance page active, try deactivating other plugins one-by-one to see if that helps
3. Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if that helps.

As a side note, I highly recommend making changes in a child-theme instead of editing the Extra theme directly. This will prevent you from losing your customizations when updating the theme.
