MemberGood morning Christine and welcome to the Events Calendar forum,
Wow, it’s really impressive how you managed to solve this issue on your own! Kudos to you.
To be transparent, it is not the first time there has been issues between our plugin and the Canvas Theme (although I am glad to hear you have had a wonderful experience so far).
It’s nothing against Canvas per se, but sometimes pieces of code do compete (even when the programmers don’t mean too).
At any rate, thank you for sharing your solution with us.
If I may offer a suggestion for future updates, you might want to have a staging/test/local copy of your website just to test updates without loss of functionality 🙂
For now, I will close this thread but you are always welcome in our forum should you have any other question.
Have an awesome day!

January 22, 2016 at 2:04 am in reply to: How to Change Default Page Title from "Archive" to Events #1060272Geoff B.
MemberGood morning Meagan and welcome to the Events Calendar support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We will gladly assist you in replacing “Archive” by a word of your choosing or even by removing it completely. The best thread on that topic is from my colleague Brian (maybe you have read it already).
If you have any questions about it, I will gladly guide you through it.In short, the word “Archive” is being generated by Highend (or by some of it’s customization) or by an SEO plugin your are using.
Either way, we will probably need to add some code to your WordPress theme’s functions.php
To make sure, we can identify what the cause is, could you please share your system information with us in a private reply ?
Many thanks.
Have an awesome day!

MemberGood morning Robert,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us and for explaining very clearly what you would be interested in pursuing.
You are indeed making a very interesting proposition which I will have to run by our Products team before I am able to give you a precise answer. In fact, I will probably loop-in someone from that team in this conversation.
I should be able to give you an update later today.
Thank you for your patience.
Have an awesome day!

MemberGood evening John and welcome back!
We are sorry to hear about the your customer not receiving their ticket in another email.
Thank you for reaching out to us and hopefully we can help you get to the bottom of this.In order to do that, I have a couple of questions for you and a request.
Questions:
- What are the possible payment gateways available for this client ? (cheque, Paypal, etc..)
- Does that client offer many types of tickets on a single event ? (WooCommerce AND RSVP)
Request:
Could you please send us your client’s system information in a private reply (the one you already sent does not detail the plugins and other valuable system info)
When I go into WooCommerce under EMAIL it says its there but there is no Recipient listed? Is this the issue? Also I cant add a Recipient
Actually that part is completely normal, you cannot add a recipient, but it should still work.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
Have a great day,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Darryl and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us with this question.
After careful analysis of your client’s need, unfortunately I do not believe our plugins would be a good fit to completely address everything. At least not without some extensive coding and customization.
I did not do some extensive research on this, but I believe what you could do is use the Events Calendar to link to more complete WooCommerce products than just a plain ticket.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now this seems to be the best one I have.
Good luck with your client and projects!
Have a great day!

MemberHi Gino,
You got me there, I tried rewording this sentence about 3 times because I did not want to use a negative tone.
That will teach me!
So of course I actually meant “We care about our customer greatly!”, there I said it 😉
In any case, I am glad this was helpful to you and please come back anytime to our forums.
Have an awesome day,

MemberGood evening Dale and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We would love to help you resolve this issue. At first glance, it looks like your WordPress theme might be trying to add an H1 page title on the Calendar page and since it can’t find one, it just seems to take the title of the first Event in the calendar. In fact the title is also doubled on the single event detail page as well.
I am unsure if you are using some form of template override or a WordPress theme that should support The Events Calendar specifically.
Either way, what you would need to be able to do is to disable the Theme’s H1 page title on the Events Calendar’s pages.
If there is no simple option to do that, then adding a bit of CSS to your WordPress theme should also work. Here are some rules to achieve just that:

Let me know if that works for you ?

January 21, 2016 at 11:45 pm in reply to: Community events update 3.12 crashes site, 500 server error #1060253Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Joe and welcome back!
We are sorry to hear about the site crash.
Hopefully, we can get this fixed for you as soon as possible. But to set expectations, this might require a few exchanges to pinpoint.
I just renewed the license today, and updated and activated it. Site goes 500 SE when it is activated. Can I have my money back or do you have a fix for this ASAP?
The answer to the refund question is yes you can get one if you are not satisfied with our product.
We always offer a refund up to 30 days after the purchase as you can see here. With that in mind, theme conflicts and plugin conflicts can for the most part be resolved in some way or another. But it is very difficult to establish that this is the cause of the crash at this point.
One thing I find odd is that you are mentioning Community Events version 3.12. The current up to date version is 4.04.
This leads me to believe that the issue could be caused by a problem with the versions of the plugins you are using.
Could you also please provide us with your system information in a private reply ?
Thank you and have a great day!

MemberGood evening Anthony,
I am glad this resolved your issue.
As a side note, this has been logged as a bug.
As such, you will be informed as soon as it is fixed. I unfortunately cannot commit to a specific date for now, but the important thing is that your Calendar now works properly.
Have a wonderful day!

MemberGood evening Fernando and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our product.
As you might know we offer limited technical support in the pre-sales forum.
If you are looking for more extensive support, I would recommend using WordPress.org or better yet purchase one of our premium plugins.
With that in mind, I would still like to get you pointed in the right direction.
Since I am unsure of what your function calls look like, my answer is going to be very generic.
It looks like there should be some view based conditions on your queries something with a similar structure as the following example
https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/09db9e7faca054f98480
As stated before since this is not a technical support forum, I will have to close this thread right now.
But I hope this was helpful to you and perhaps we’ll see you on WordPress.org or in our premium plugins forums.
Good luck and have an awesome day!

MemberGood evening Amin and welcome to the Events Calendar support forum!
We will be glad to assist you in resolving your issues.
Just following up from this support post I’m hoping now that I have the PRO version I can get this issue fixed quickly.
As you established previously, there seems to be a theme conflict going on.
Based on the error message you received, it looks like your theme contains some customizations related to the Events Calendar.
Just to set expectations, officially we do not support template customizations as per our terms and conditions. That being said, we still try to point our customers in the right direction so that they can get started in achieving what they are looking for.
With that in mind, I believe these customizations were made a while ago, which explains why some things are buggy. Before doing anything else I would strongly suggest reading our Themer’s guide to get a better sense of how customizations should work.
Just out curiosity, can you tell me if these customizations were built-in in the WordPress theme you are using ? If that’s the case, I would first verify if an update is available for that theme.
If you feel up for the challenge, you might also want to compare the function calls to our function archive.
Finally, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply please ?
Have a great day,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Anthony,
Thank you for trying my suggestions. I am sorry it did not resolve the issue yet.
I appreciate your patience on getting to the bottom of this. With that in mind, I have another thing I would like you to try.
Could you change the timezone settings under Events -> Settings to “Use the local timezones for each event” and tell me if that works ?
Thank you in advance.
