And before I forget, you might also consider updating your Events Calendar Pro to the latest version (4.04) to avoid any version mismatch between your plugins.

Good evening Sterling and welcome to the Events Calendar support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We will gladly assist you in fixing this issue.

Ideally, running our testing for conflicts procedure is the best way to get to the root of the issue (whenever traffic allows it or by making a copy of the website on a local install for testing purposes).

This is especially true with the presence of a redirection plugin or of a Genesis WordPress theme.

As a first step, I would also try “flushing” your permalinks (just re-saving them without changing anything).

Let me know what your findings are.

    Have a weekend,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening John,

Thank your for submitting the system information and answering my payment Gateway question.

With that in mind, I would need to ask you a simple question: did you know that the tickets emails are only sent out once the order is marked as “Completed” ?

The reason I am asking is because depending on your settings, it is possible that when the payment is processed the transaction status is different than”Completed” by default.

Can you please run a test to verify if the tickets are being emailed once the WooCommerce transaction status is set to “Completed” ?

    Thank you,

    Have a great weekend

    Good evening Ben,

Thank you for trying the shortcode test.
The fact that it’s still not working is very odd. But we will gladly assist you in figuring out what is going on.

Do you think there is possibly an issue with my license / version of events pro

It is unlikely that the problem is the license.

    The most probable causes are:

    • Mismatching versions of our different plugins
    • Some kind of conflict with your WordPress theme or plugins

As a first step to figuring out what is causing the issue, could you please provide me with your system information in a private reply please ?

    Have a great weekend,

    Good afternoon Mia,

Great news. I can confirm that the submission was indeed received!

Under normal circumstances, we always answer all of our submissions (wether they are accepted or declined).
It turns out that pestering is not a criteria for qualifying, so you should be fine 😉

In all seriousness, I wouldn’t call this pestering and I am glad you followed up on this. Thanks.

So since your submission was received, I will close this thread and wish you the best of luck.

    Have an awesome weekend!

Thank you for the screenshots Ryan.

Based on what I am seeing in the screenshots, what you have told me so far and some inspection of your web page, here’s what I have found out.

You were right, the tribe-events-meta-group-gmap div is not showing at all on your website it’s nowhere to be found.

Since it’s not being generated, this leaves us with a couple of possible causes for the issue you are experiencing:

    1. I am assuming that these Events were imported to the Events Calendar using the iCal importer (based on your last post). If that’s the case, can you provide me with a screenshot of what your the Edit Events page (in WordPress’s backend) looks like please ? There might be something off with the LOCATION section as part of the iCal import.
    2. It is possible that there is a conflict with one of the plugins you have on your site (which can be established if you follow our Testing for Conflicts guidefollow our Testing for Conflicts guide). Can you please test this.

I’m pretty confident that one of these 2 suggestions will help us display the Maps properly.

Thanks once again for sticking through the troubleshooting process.

    Have a great weekend,

    Good afternoon Meagan,

Thank you for the system information.

I actually missed the first part about editing the wp config file, is that a necessary step?

That’s a great question. The answer is maybe.

You see, all issues are kind of unique in that way. The best approach is to try to troubleshoot while trying different potential solutions until we find one that matches your exact situation.

So I would absolutely give it a try and perhaps try all of his other suggestions.

Let me know how that goes.

    Good afternoon Robert,

Thank you for your understanding and overall wonderful spirit about all of this.

I did discuss this offer with our Product Manager and after careful deliberation here is his recommendation:

“Sure! He should totally feel free to package The Events Calendar core plugin with his themes.  We’ve released this as a free product and we’re glad he is excited to promote it! If users need support from us or additional features, they can purchase our Premium plugins directly.”

In other words, what that means is that the key selling feature of our Pro version is the support we provide for it.
    And the users love it.

This probably gives you a bit more of an insider’s perspective on our licenses pricing structure.
Simply put, we try to offer the best support possible at the lowest price possible.

This means that having a different type of licensing agreement for the Pro plugin (and providing the support for it is unfortunately not possible at this time). I know this is not exactly what you were looking for.

But I want to reiterate we truly appreciate your offer and desire to include in your themes.
We are always open to new ideas an suggestions.

Let me know what your thoughts are on this alternative proposition ?

    Have a great weekend,

    Good afternoon Ben,

Thank you for the system information.
This will help pinpointing what the cause of the issue.

I will have a question for you then: I can see that you updated from WooTickets to the Events Tickets Plus. Were these tickets created prior to late December or after ?

The reason I am asking is because there were indeed a few glitches regarding stock in the initial releases, but they have been patched since that time (between Christmas and the New Year).

If you indeed created the ticket after the last update, my next suggestion would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and to let us know what you find out.

I’m looking forward to hearing back from you on this one.

    Have a great weekend,

    Good afternoon Melinda,

I am sorry to hear about the nightmare you have been experiencing with rescheduling.

That being said, if you are looking for support on your specific issue, I would recommend opening a separate thread.
This way we can address every client’s needs faster and better.

With that in mind here are a couple of answers to some of your comments.

To rebook them in we’d have to log in as the customer by changing their password and then letting them know about the new password.

Actually, you can create orders from WooCommerce’s backend for specific customers without logging in with their accounts. I suggest reading WooCommerce’s documentation on that topic.

This has caused numerous problems also regarding recording coupons discounts for the year which are in reality not truly coupons. It then appears as if we’ve given away heaps of event tickets.

I understand what you are saying. The coupons are only a technical solution to avoid the customer from paying twice. Technically, aside from that customer (and yourself) nobody should know about the fact that there a coupon has been used.

It would also help if there was a feature on the woocommerce tickets plugin that would show them how many tickets are left per event or if it’s sold out. This way we would not receive calls asking how many tickets are left or if the event is sold out?

The good news is that feature is already there in the current version of Events Tickets Plus (WooCommerce Tickets is now retired and integrated in this plugin).

Once again, if you want to discuss this further, please open a separate thread.

    Have a great weekend,

    Good afternoon Mad Dog,

Way to go! Kudos to you!

I’m glad we were helpful to you on this journey, that’s what we are here for.
I can’t say for sure why everything worked prior to the update, but at any rate, your current code is much more robust and proper.

Thanks for sharing it with us. I don’t see anything suspicious about it, good job.

Have a great weekend and let us know if you find anything else on this.

    Good afternoon Ben,

    Thank you for your questions.

PS ive not used shortcodes before – do i just paste them into a page? do you have any examples i could look at?

You just need to paste the shortcode directly into a page “Visual” tab or in a text widget (provided your WordPress theme supports it).

You can see examples of what our shortcodes look like on the following page https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/

In fact the second example in that page is very similar to what you are trying to do.

Ive tried a mix of things – had hoped <?php echo do_shortcode( ‘[tribe_events_list]’); ?> or just the shortcode

[tribe_events_list limit=”3″] would work but no luck

The <?php echo do_shortcode( ‘[tribe_events_list]’); ?> is to meant to be added to a Template file (if you want to hardcode a specific shortcode to a page template). I don’t believe this is what you are looking for.

I am not sure why your second shortcode is not working (except for the fact that your quote marks are actually mismatched).

I would suggest trying a shortcode without any parameter and see if that works. You might also be interested in reading more about shortcodes https://codex.wordpress.org/Shortcode

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great weekend,
