How to Change Default Page Title from "Archive" to Events

I’ve searched each and every thread regarding changing the page title for the events calendar and list from “Archive” to something else and have been unsuccessful at changing it. I’m currently running the Highend theme which has been wonderfully compatible with everything else. The calendar and events list show nicely, however, the page title (not just the browser tab) reads “Archive”. I NEED to change this to Events.

Any and all help is much appreciated! I’ve tried editing the functions.php file with many different suggested solutions, no luck yet.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We will gladly assist you in replacing “Archive” by a word of your choosing or even by removing it completely.

The best thread on that topic is from my colleague Brian (maybe you have read it already).
If you have any questions about it, I will gladly guide you through it.

In short, the word “Archive” is being generated by Highend (or by some of it’s customization) or by an SEO plugin your are using.

Either way, we will probably need to add some code to your WordPress theme’s functions.php

To make sure, we can identify what the cause is, could you please share your system information with us in a private reply ?

I actually missed the first part about editing the wp config file, is that a necessary step?

That’s a great question. The answer is maybe.

You see, all issues are kind of unique in that way. The best approach is to try to troubleshoot while trying different potential solutions until we find one that matches your exact situation.

So I would absolutely give it a try and perhaps try all of his other suggestions.
