    Good afternoon Project Helping,

Thank you for your reply and for the information you provided.

I probably miscommunicated what I meant by system information. My apologies.
What I meant was the complete system information as explained in the following link: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Could you please send that information in a private reply ?

That being said, I believe you are on to something. There seems to be something fishy going on at the Eventbrite level.

Could you please elaborate on what you mean by

The events would get disconnected from Eventbrite as well.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Ben,

    Sure, here’s the breakdown:

    As a WordPress theme I’m using Twenty-Fifteen.

Let me know if that helps.

    Good afternoon Terry,

    Thank you for your replies.

Actually, I might have miscommunicated what I meant by system information. Can you follow the instructions found on the following pageĀ please ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Unfortunately, although we appreciate the offer, we cannot log in to our clients websites for a variety of reasons (including liability). Thank you for your understanding.

Also, what might be helpful at this point is to get the iCal URL you are using for testing purposes (probably in the private reply as well).

    Have a great day!

Good evening PeterĀ and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about your recurring events issue in WPML.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.

99% certain this is a WPML thing. Saw some other WPML support threads from long ago, but it seemed like the issues were fixed in a recent version.

You might be on to something. At the current time, recurring events are not working fully with WPML.

The good news is that your thread just brought this feature request to level 1 priority. So although I cannot commit to a release date yet, complete recurring events in WPML integration will get done thanks to you.

In the meantime, I would still like to replicate and/or try to fix your specific issues if I can.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of your recurring events setting ?

Also, you can probably confirm that this is indeed WPML related byĀ going through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

    Have a great day!

Good evening RichardĀ and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about the issues you have been experiencing with the recurring events.

We will gladly try to assist you on this topic as well as address the Google map marker question.

a weekly recurring event has been added to start on the 28th January, but does not start recurring until April 14th. There is one event showing on the 28th Jan, but then a gap until the 14th April.

That is indeed not normal behaviour. Is it possible to send us a screen capture of that events’ recurrence settings ?

Also, as a first step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ?

lack of Markers on the external Google Map, it works fine on the embedded map on the event page. But clicking through to the external map does not display a marker. Even if we use the Long/Lat option. One of the venues even loads the map over the States, when all locations are in Spain.

    That must be really frustrating.

But the good news is that there should be a marker on the Google Map. We just need to figure out why it’s not displaying in your case.

Would you mind providing with an example of such an event (the URL link)?

    Have a great day!

Good evening GraemeĀ and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.

I was wondering if the imported facebook event is displayed in the specific event listed in the calendar. I have clubs adding events to my calendar and if they also have a facebook event I would like to have the facebook event info included in their event info in my calendar.

    The short answer is yes!

Basic event data along with venue and organizer are populated appropriately when using our Facebook Events plugin.

Moreover, as long as the added events are on your Facebook page they will get added.

Finally, you can totally try this out risk-free provided our refund policy.

Let me know if that helps and if you any other question.

    Have a great day!

Good evening HannuĀ and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about the missing string in the po/mo file.

I will ensure that the language files are updated for the next release. We appreciate you bringing this up to our attention.

Could you tell me which language you are using if you don’t mind ?

Also, as an alternative, you could have updated the pot file from the sources and then in turn updated the po/mo files from the newly updated pot file.

Is there anything else I can help you with ?

    Have a great day!

Good evening SamĀ and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.

Unfortunately at the current time, the recurring event functionality does not allow to target specific dates that do not follow a specific pattern (e.g.: every 1st Monday of the month). But that would be a great feature.

In fact, you can suggest it or cast your vote on other features in our User Voice forum.

For now, your bestĀ bet would be to create repeating rules to match your target dates and a lot of exclusions to remove the unwanted dates that are generated as a result of those rules.

I wish I had a better answer, but that’s the only one I have for now.
Let me know if you want me to walk you through what that would look like or if you have any other questions for me.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Jean,

I am glad the date format change worked for you.
    Congratulations!

To fix the issue you are now describing, I would try to flush the permalinks (re-save them without changing anything on the permalinks page).

Let me know if that helps.

    Good evening April,

Thank you for hanging in there. I understand it can be tough sometimes and I am sorry to hear it nearly killed your site.

Perhaps I should have mentioned this sooner, but if any other issue appear in the future, I recommend running these tests on a test/staging server or even on a local copy of your WordPress site. My apologies.

That being said, congratulations on the progress you have made so far.
In fact, I was just about to suggest deleting the old versions of the plugins, but you beat me to it.

I can see event attendees and make tickets for events — but the events pages themselves are not outputting properly, still, with the ability to buy tickets and view event information (map, add to calendar, event info, etc …)

You’ll see I am able to modify the ā€œpostā€ info — which is how i have output these pages. But looking for the full event page functionality that has gone missing!

I would just like to clarify what the remaining issues are. Please feel free to correct my understanding if necessary:

    1. The display of the events pages are different than previously
    2. You no longer have access to the main events page I’m guessing what used to be http://www.dosemarket.com/dose/

    Can you confirm ?

If I did understand this correctly, than it seems that the issue is caused by a template customization that used several of the functions and elements from the previous version of the plugins that would need to be updated.

The fastest way to test that assumption would be to quickly temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme and seeing if this solves the issue.

We are almost there, thank you for your patience.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Miah,

Thank you for making these changes and I hope it truly helps solve the problem going forward.

However, the existing set of recurring events that we are unable update, remains as such. How do we get back to updating these events again?

    This is a bit trickier.

Before you do anything, I would recommend making a backup of your database.

The simple but risky solution is to manually find the autosave revisions of the said events in your database and manually deleting them (probably through an interface such as PHPmyadmin).

If you are not confortable doing that, I would explore using a plugin that does that for you such as:

Let me know if that helps.

    Good evening Ben,

Thank you for taking the time to answer back and share some of your questions and concerns with me. It’s truly appreciated.

With that in mind, I would like to address each of the points you brought up as I believe it canĀ bring us closer to the most important part: help you fix the stock issue you have been experiencing.

What you are asking is kind of out of the question. I simply cannot change the template to the default Twenty-Fifteen WordPress and disable plug-ins – we have a number of live events and any downtime is unacceptable.

That’s a very good point and you are right to bring it up. If that is the case, then perhaps doing so on a staging/test environment or even on a local install could be an alternative way to perform the testing for conflicts procedure.

In the end, my only goal is to pinpoint the cause of the issue as fast as possible.

Please note that we have The Events Calendar, Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, Community Events and Community Events Tickets. The custom template has always worked perfectly and we do not have issues with any other plugins/features. I also do not see how the template should affect the stock calculation; it’s easy to see that the calculation in the backend is simply done wrong.

In all honesty, it is very possible that you are right. Perhaps the template customizations are not the cause of the issue.

That being said, I have personally seen several cases where the template customization that had worked perfectly for a long time required adjustments after an update. Moreover they were causing some pretty surprising bugs.

Either way, this is why it’s an integral part of the standard testing procedure we recommend to our clients. Not leaving any stone unturned is usually the fastest way to troubleshoot.

Re the test event, it is online again and you can still claim tickets even though it is free – please try again: http://shop.trackagescheme.com/event/test-event/

I accepted your invitation and just ordered a ticket and just as you described, the stock count is acting up. No contest there.

RegardingĀ the second part of your sentence,Ā you seem to be surprised that it’sĀ possible to claim a ticket even though it’s free. If that makes it any better, please note that this is actually absolutely normal. You can always claim tickets, regardless of their price, unless the ticket is an RSVP ticket of course.

Regarding upgrading WooCommerce, we would like to delay this because we tried this last week and the upgrade broke the entire layout forcing us to revert to a back up. If however, you can guarantee that this will fix the stock/inventory issue, we will schedule it.

I can totally understand where you are coming from. Sometimes it’s better to delay upgrades unless you absolutely need to.

Alas, I cannot guarantee that it would fix the issue.

What I am saying however, is that it would be worth testing. Again, that would probably be easier to do outside of the production environment.

If I had to bet on it, I would say that there is a fair chance that this could be the cause since 2.3.8 dates back to April 2015 and there has been a lot of updates since then.

Moreover, please note that your colleague, Josh, confirmed that this is a documented bug and you are working on a fix, so I am confused at this point. Please refer to his message here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/issues-with-stock-count-after-4-04-update/#post-1061796 for more information.

That is also a good point. In fact prior to asking you for tests I did my due diligence and researched for any stock related bug.

I came across the post you mentioned by my colleague Josh and looked at the bug ticket in question.

I believe there might have been a bit of a misunderstanding (for which I am sorry) which in turn probably unintentionally misled you. The documented bug Josh was referring to isĀ specifically about the impact of deleting attendees on the stock count.

In my humble opinion this is a very different issue than the one you are dealing with.

Having said all of that my recommendation would be to setup some kind of staging/test environment so that you can test the impact of an updated version of WooCommerce and of reverting to a default WordPress theme without jeopardizing anything.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.
