ParticipantHi,
We have a few problems with the plugin. the first being, a weekly recurring event has been added to start on the 28th January, but does not start recurring until April 14th. There is one event showing on the 28th Jan, but then a gap until the 14th April.
The second is a lack of Markers on the external Google Map, it works fine on the embedded map on the event page. But clicking through to the external map does not display a marker. Even if we use the Long/Lat option. One of the venues even loads the map over the States, when all locations are in Spain.

MemberGood evening Richard and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about the issues you have been experiencing with the recurring events.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic as well as address the Google map marker question.

That is indeed not normal behaviour. Is it possible to send us a screen capture of that events’ recurrence settings ?
Also, as a first step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ?

That must be really frustrating.
But the good news is that there should be a marker on the Google Map. We just need to figure out why it’s not displaying in your case.
Would you mind providing with an example of such an event (the URL link)?
Have a great day!

ParticipantHi Geoff, thanks for the reply.
For the recurring event, of course, it was the one plugin I hadn’t disabled out of fear of breaking the live site, WPML. I see there’s another thread posted today reporting a similar issue and it’s now a priority fix.
As for the Google Map, the problem actually seems to be exclusive to recurring events, and so is likely caused by WPML as well.
If you view this URL: http://marbellaazul.com/events/guided-tour-roman-villa/2016-01-28/ and click google map, when the map loads, click the address bar and hit enter, the url will change slightly, clicking the URL once more and hitting enter will then load a map with the correct pin.

MemberGood afternoon Richard,
Thank you for your answer.
In the future my recommendation, for testing purposes, is to run the tests in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website. That way you do not risk breaking anything.
You are right, the recurring events support in WPML is now at the top of our priority list. I have added this thread to the lot so that you can be notified when it gets done.

I am not sure this is actually related to WPML (but you might be right).
If you don’t mind, can you try clicking on the Edit venue link in the Edit Event screen for that event ?
This will bring you to the Edit Venue screen. Try to see if checking “Use latitude and longitude” helps and let me know if does.
Have a great day!
