ParticipantHi! I have been happily using edd tickets for events for 1+ years. Recently updating to Event Tickets Plus, the Events page functionality — the map, the ticket purchase module, event details — these are all gone. What to do to restore this functionality with the Event Tickets Plus tickets? What am I missing?
No events functionality — tickets, map, details — here: http://www.dosemarket.com/dose/trousseau/

MemberGood evening April,
We are sorry to hear that the upgrade of the plugin resulted in a loss of functionality.
We would love to assist you in troubleshooting and hopefully fixing this situation. But first, I need to ask you a couple of questions.
Did you follow the upgrade guide or did you use a different method for upgrading the plugin?
Could you also please provide your system information in a private message ?
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon April,
Thank you for providing your system information as well as a link to your website.
Based on what I am seeing, you have everything you need for things to be working properly.
So at this point, we will need to troubleshoot to find the cause of the issue.First, I have a couple of questions / suggestions for you:
- To your knowledge, are you using any template override (found in your WordPress theme) ?
- If you go to Events -> Settings and you navigate down to the Map settings, does everything seem in order ?
- Could you also run our testing for conflicts procedure to see if that restores the missing functionalities ?
Thank you for your patience and we are looking forward to helping you resolve this.
Have a great evening.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thank you for your advice. Before I proceed further, where may I find the “Could you also run our testing for conflicts procedure to see if that restores the missing functionalities ?”
Thank you,

MemberGood evening April,
That’s a great question, you can click on the hyperlink under point 3 of my previous answer or simply paste the following URL in your browser: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

ParticipantHi again Geoff!
Have been having quite the go at getting this resolved — has about killed my site!
I am at the point where I have uninstalled all plugins and have been re-activating them one by one …
The problem, it seems to me, is that ‘Event Tickets’ and and ‘The Events Calendar’ are not recognizing that I have purchased and installed their paid counterparts — When I activate Event Tickets it’s all good. But then I activate Event Tickets Plus and am returned with the error: ‘To begin using Event Tickets Plus, please install and activate the latest version of Event Tickets.’
Same goes for The Events Calendar and the Events Calendar PRO duo.
HUGELY dependent on this — EDD tickets worked great for me for 18 months — and love the scan capability of new system, but this has not been easy getting it set up over here. Have a huge event I need to announce … just waiting on this!
Thank you in advance for your help!

ParticipantOkay!
So — I deleted EDD Tickets and my site is no longer crashed.
I can see event attendees and make tickets for events — but the events pages themselves are not outputting properly, still, with the ability to buy tickets and view event information (map, add to calendar, event info, etc …)
Currently have two live events
1 http://www.dosemarket.com/dose/valentinedose/
2 http://www.dosemarket.com/dose/trousseau/You’ll see I am able to modify the “post” info — which is how i have output these pages. But looking for the full event page functionality that has gone missing!
Thank you!

MemberGood evening April,
Thank you for hanging in there. I understand it can be tough sometimes and I am sorry to hear it nearly killed your site.
Perhaps I should have mentioned this sooner, but if any other issue appear in the future, I recommend running these tests on a test/staging server or even on a local copy of your WordPress site. My apologies.
That being said, congratulations on the progress you have made so far.
In fact, I was just about to suggest deleting the old versions of the plugins, but you beat me to it.I can see event attendees and make tickets for events — but the events pages themselves are not outputting properly, still, with the ability to buy tickets and view event information (map, add to calendar, event info, etc …)
You’ll see I am able to modify the “post” info — which is how i have output these pages. But looking for the full event page functionality that has gone missing!
I would just like to clarify what the remaining issues are. Please feel free to correct my understanding if necessary:
- The display of the events pages are different than previously
- You no longer have access to the main events page I’m guessing what used to be http://www.dosemarket.com/dose/
Can you confirm ?
If I did understand this correctly, than it seems that the issue is caused by a template customization that used several of the functions and elements from the previous version of the plugins that would need to be updated.
The fastest way to test that assumption would be to quickly temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme and seeing if this solves the issue.
We are almost there, thank you for your patience.
Have a great day!

ParticipantHi Geoff!
Thanks so much for your reply. To clarify:
The display of the events pages are different than previously >> This is correct!
You no longer have access to the main events page I’m guessing what used to be http://www.dosemarket.com/dose/ >> I can view this webpage but am not sure if I can edit itSo, I do believe you are right in that “a template customization used several of the functions and elements from the previous version of the plugins that would need to be updated.”
If the answer is yes, the problem is resolved when temporarily reverting to a default wordpress theme … where do we go from there?
Thank you!

MemberGood afternoon April,
Thank you for your reply and for clarifying things.
This allows me to guide you through what is happening, what it means and what you can do about it (aka the next steps). You no longer have access to the main events page I’m guessing what used to be http://www.dosemarket.com/dose/ >> I can view this webpage but am not sure if I can edit it
Actually, this is the main Calendar “page”. It’s actually not a real page, it’s being generated by the Events Calendar plugin itself OR (in your case) by the template customization.
Without getting overly technical, I would still recommend reading our Themer’s guide which explains clearly how the customizations are done and where you can tweak them.
Officially we do not offer complete support for customizations (since they can be pretty complicated in certain cases). However, we do try to point our wonderful clients in the right direction to get started on the right foot.
So the short answer is that somebody needs to review the files found in [your-theme-name]/tribe-events and in the functions.php of your WordPress theme to get things back to normal.
The best person to do that would probably the original programmer or if you no longer have access to that person, you can use one of our recommended freelancers.
As an alternative, you could experiment with removing the customization folders from your current theme and see how you like the results.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now, this is pretty much the best one I have.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
