    Hello Dale,

Hmmm, that’s odd. Sorry about that.

Here’s the updated rule once more:

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Hello Baidaa,

Thank you for your answers. Here are a couple of answers back.

I’m not sure if I can do the customization, I don’t even know where to create and add a file to my theme to make all the changes. if you have a demo (video Demo) that would be so helpful.

That’s a great suggestion. I’ll add it to the list of our potential tutorials.
The customization process implies that you are familiar with using an FTP client and have some basic PHP knowledge.

It is totally OK if this is not your cup of tea. That just means we are better off with another solution in your specific case 🙂

Another solution would be to hire one of our recommended customizers to come up with a customization for you.

-The buttons part still not showing on the single ticket page, I did add what you sent me to the CSS but still not seeing the + and – sign in the single event ticket page.

I’m sorry to hear that. As I stated earlier, your current WordPress theme is actually preventing these arrows from displaying properly.

As you suspected, just changing themes will fix this issue (99% of them should display the arrows properly, including default WordPress themes such as Twenty-Fifteen).

The specific theme you pointed me too looks great. Normally your Event Tickets Plus plugin should work great with any theme where the Events Calendar works (which is most of them).

That being said, since the display for that theme is highly customized, you’ll have to rely on the theme author to provide you with updates (if necessary) that remain compatible with our premium add-ons such as Event Tickets Plus moving forward.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon,

Thank you for running these additional tests.

Regarding JetPack specifically, I totally understand where you are coming from.
However, if you were able to do a sneak test (2 seconds at a low web traffic time), that would settle it once and for all.

As for adding CSS to force the time to display, I a bit at a loss here.
Looking at http://laugh-masters.com.au/event/improv-level-2-monday-nights-8-weeks-feb-1-mar-21/2016-02-15/ , I can totally see the time in the Details section even though this is a recurring event. Is there something that I am missing ?

    Have a great day!

    Hello again Ismail,

Oh wow! So sorry about that 🙁
As you know, our goal was quite the opposite.

I believe my colleague Brian has finally nailed it. Check it out: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-after-update-plugin-event-calendar-2?replies=4#post-8068853

Let me know if that produces better results,

    Hello Antoine,

You are absolutely right, WPML is not yet compatible with Event Tickets Plus (although we are looking forward to make it compatible).

For now, we only offer WPML compatibility for the basic the Events Calendar and most of the Events Calendar Pro (to be completed in the near future) plugins.

Once again, thank you for your understanding and I still recommend opening your own thread should you require assistance.

    Have a great day!

    Hello Aleix,

    Sorry for the delay answering.
This sometimes happens when a thread’s status is “Pending fix”.

To answer your question, unfortunately no, that fix wasn’t part of the last maintenance release.
But, the good news is that I have been asked just this week to be a part of the team that works on the solution.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!

Thank you once again for your understanding!

Good evening Dana and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products and we’ll be glad to answer your questions.

I would like to display the events list widget, but I don’t want it to simply display the next 5 upcoming events. I want it to:
    – start showing the seminars three months before start date
    – start showing the workshops twelve months before start date

The Pro add-on would definitely get you closer to achieving this as it provides additional features both in the widgets themselves and in the ability to use the widgets as shortcodes. You can read all about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/

But, there is no start and end date parameter available per se. That would have to be done through a template customization OR by doing it semi-manually (e.g.: using tags such as “May, June, July, etc..” and manually updating the widget’s parameters every month or so)

Additionally, you can vote for that very feature here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/11012958-widgets-shortcodes-add-start-date-and-end-date

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Dario and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you have encountered with the Add new organizer button.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ? (following the instructions found in the link)

Furthermore, if there is a dummy login (non admin account) I could use to test the functionality on your website, that would be great (since I am currently blocked from seeing the actual page).

Finally, if you are able to, could you send screenshots of your settings for the tab found under Events -> Settings -> Community ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Roderick and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

That is a great question and suggestion. In fact, you can suggest it or cast your vote on other features in our User Voice forum.

In the meantime, since there is no built-in feature to make only the Events pages secure, you will have to do so either through some code in the functions.php file of your WordPress theme or via a plugin such as the following ones. Here are a couple of links on that topic:

Keep in mind most Events pages are actually not pages, but rather “URLs” 🙂

Let me know how that goes.

Good evening Celso and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

We are absolutely looking forward to helping you.
To be able to offer you proper support however, we would need you to log into your Events Calendar account and use the following link to open up a support thread.

The reason for this is because support features and functionalities are limited in the Pre-Sales forum you have used for this thread.

    Thank you for your understanding.
For now I will close this thread and we are looking forward to seeing you in the premium plugins forum.

    Geoff B.

p.s.: in the meantime, you will find all translations files by reading the following article: https://theeventscalendar.com/moving-to-glotpress/

Good evening Jody and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the weird display issues you have been experiencing.
I would love to help you with this topic.

It turns out some of our other users from the X theme have reported similar issues.
I will not get overly technical on this, but this can most probably be solved by adding the following plugin to your WordPress install.

    https://github.com/bordoni/tec-forum-support/tree/plugin-ticket-44253

This is just a temporary measure until we make this part of a maintenance release.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good evening Ben and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the translation and category links that end up in 404 errors.
I would love to help you with this topic.

First of, in case you are unaware of this, we actually do not support the Polylang plugin.
Although most things work relatively OK, as you found, out some of it does not (e.g.: some of the links).

The good news, is that we do support multilingual websites for the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro via WPML.
You can read more about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/

That being said, if you are indeed looking to remove the category and label links from the single events or change their behaviours (to behave more like the filter bar), you can absolutely do so.

The best way to go about it would be to read our Themer’s guide with special consideration for the word meta.

In fact, based on what I see on your website, there is already some template customization at work, which means you will find that there is already a tribe-events folder in your WordPress theme.

Let me know if you need help getting started or how this goes for you.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening,

Thank you very much for providing the requested information. I know it can seem tedious at times, but it is really helpful for us.

For example, I can tell you that the following plugins are known to not play nicely with our plugins:

    • Event Rocket: this might come as a surprise, but it is officially no longer supported since version 4.0 of our plugins. Although it’s possible that it still works for some of our users, for the most part it now breaks different features of the Events Calendar.
    • Jetpack: this one is more on and off, but it can sometimes prevent complete views from working properly (including the Photo view)

So before anything else, I would try deactivating these 2 and see if that makes any difference.

Also, I am noticing that you are using the Duplicate TEC Event plugin. Nothing wrong with that at all per se, but could you see if the issue persists after creating a new event from scratch completely manually ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Jonathan,

    Thank you for the screenshots.

If you don’t mind, there are couple of tests I would like you to try:

    1. Could you please change the Events Calendar timezone settings to Use the local timezone for each event ?
    2. Could you please change the WordPress timezone setting from UTC -5 to the New York timezone (which is the same as Ottawa as you know) ? Both with the current Events Calendar timezone setting and the Use the local timezone for each event setting.

Let me know if that makes any difference.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.
