ParticipantI’d like to make the specific pages for Events Calendar Pro secured with SSL. I have a certificate and I selectively use it for specific pages on my site using iThemes Security. I don’t want my entire site secured.
Can you tell me how I would specify the Events Calendar pages to be protected by SSL?
It would be great if this were an option in the settings for those with a certificate installed.
Thanks, Rod

MemberGood evening Roderick and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
That is a great question and suggestion. In fact, you can suggest it or cast your vote on other features in our User Voice forum.
In the meantime, since there is no built-in feature to make only the Events pages secure, you will have to do so either through some code in the functions.php file of your WordPress theme or via a plugin such as the following ones. Here are a couple of links on that topic:
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/https-redirection/
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/contexture-page-security/
Keep in mind most Events pages are actually not pages, but rather “URLs” 🙂
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for the reply.
I tried using the Easy HTTPS Redirection plugin and put in the URL (non-standard) for my Events Calendar. Both Chrome and Firefox refused to load the calendar, saying “too many redirects.”
Chrome
This webpage has a redirect loop
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
The webpage at https://touristclubsf.org/tcevents/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.==Firefox
The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
his problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.-Rod

MemberGood afternoon Rod,
I am sorry to hear this didn’t work as expected 🙁
As you might be aware, since this request qualifies as customization for now, the scope of our support for it is fairly limited.
So as much as we love to help, the best we can do in such cases is to get you started on the right track. With that in mind, since the plugin route did not work as expected it looks like writing up a custom function or using template customization would be the way to go in your case.
If you are confortable with PHP, I would recommend my first link alongside the following one: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/filter_SSL
And, if you haven’t already, you might want to read our Themer’s guide. If that is slightly out of your comfort zone, you can either make the User Voice proposal or hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
