Good evening Stephen and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the confusion you have experienced while trying to use Event Tickets Plus “standalone”. I would love to help you with this topic.

I’d like to just have a place where people can buy tickets as a stand alone option. I’d really like to just make a landing page and have the tickets for sale there.

To achieve that, you will need the following:

    1. Our free Event Tickets plugin
    2. Our premium Event Tickets Plus add-on
    3. WooCommerce

This means that you actually do not need to install the Events Calendar for now.

    In a nutshell:

    1. You can establish which post type (in your case a page) can “sell tickets”. You do that by going to Events -> Settings -> Tickets
    2. Once you have made sure “Page” is selected, you can can head to any Page.
    3. In that page, there should now be a “Tickets” metabox. This is where you can create your tickets for that page.

    1. Is that what an event page is for?

No, the event page is not required to sell tickets.

    2. Should the tickets be showing up on the event page? https://www.vwdadsclub.com/event/the-dads-club-annual-pancake-breakfast-2017/

Right now, that page returns a “Page not found” message.
Perhaps you have taken it offline ? Unless this is just a URL where you would expect tickets to appear ?

Could you expand on this ?

In any case, based on your need, you should not need to use “Events” to sell tickets.

    3. Can I get the tickets to show up as a product in the woocommerce “shop”

Absolutely. The default behaviour is that tickets are virtual simple products that are hidden from the catalog/search.

    You can:

    1. Edit the Ticket WooCommerce products individually to change that visibility.
    2. You can use the following snippet in your theme’s functions.php https://gist.github.com/jesseeproductions/5768685acc4cd48cdd81

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Yiannis and welcome back!

    Thank you for writing back.

That is a fair suggestion. I will relay it to the dev team.

That being said, if you do have the latest the-events-calendar language file or a custom one updated from the latest pot file, the “All %s” should work.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point.
But stay tuned, you will be contacted when an update is released.

    Best regards,

Good evening Kore and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the integration issues you are experiencing. We apologize for the inconvenience. I would love to help you with this topic.

From your error messages, it looks like you are using WPML.

Unfortunately, and although WPML is an awesome plugin, our integration with that plugin is still limited. You can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/

As you can see, we do not currently offer support for Eventbrite Tickets while using WPML at this point.

That being said, we are currently working with the WPML team to increase our compatibility.
The next step being to provide support for Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point.

But I can tell you that we work on our new features based on popularity.

Since this could be a very cool feature to have, you can suggest it in our User Voice forum.
That way other customers can vote for it!

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Jacob and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the calendar not displaying as expected.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I am not quite sure how things displayed before, but I believe the calendar should take the whole screen’s width.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .post-type-archive-tribe_events .container_12 .grid_8, .single-tribe_events .container_12 .grid_8 {
    width: 100%;
    }

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Math,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I have looked at the video and I see what you mean. Yikes!

With that in mind, I went ahead and tried to recreate the issue on my staging site.

As you know, this option gets added to the WooCommerce order menu by activating the following extension: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/add-view-ticket-link-to-the-my-tickets-screen/

I believe that it’s appearance in the WooCommerce Actions menu in an order was not intentional.
The intended use (as you can see in the extension’s description was to add functionality to the “Attendee” screen).

That being said, I can see how that would be a really nice addition to have.
I will open a ticket to tweak this.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when an update is released.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Jacqueline and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the layout not being easily readable on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.

First off, it looks like you are using the following third-party plugin to display the upcoming events area.

Although you are totally entitled to do that, I believe you would be better served by using some of the Events Calendar Pro shortcodes and advanced widgets.

If nothing else, they will provide a much better displaying experience.
You can read about them here:

With that in mind, try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .ecs-event-list h4 {padding-bottom: 0px;}

    .ecs-event-list .ecs-event {margin-bottom: 10px;}

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Yves and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about image being cropped on your install. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

I have taken a look at your site and, in the single event view, it looks like the following image URL is being called: http://www.treffens.be/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/20170326_lenterit_MTC_Zedelgem-566×321.jpg

As you can see from the URL, it looks like the “Large” media size from your Settings > Media is limiting the ratio as the thumbnail is being created. Another possibility is that something in your theme/child theme setting or functions.php would be controlling the image sizes.

I just ran a test on my install using Enfold and the image found here: http://www.treffens.be/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/20170326_lenterit_MTC_Zedelgem.jpg

This allowed me to successfully import the image as a featured image without cropping.

My first recommendation would be to head over to Settings > Media and change the “Large” values to 1030px x 1030px.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Sacha and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .tribe-events-schedule h2 {
    font-size: 20px;
    }

If you are not too comfortable with adding CSS to your theme, the following plugin makes it super easy: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

Let me know how that goes.

    Good afternoon Simone,

    Thank you for writing back.

There are a couple of ways to stay updated:

    1. At the very bottom of our site (in the footer), you can subscribe to our newsletter or our Twitter feed.
    2. You can even subscribe to our blog’s RSS feed if that works better for you (https://theeventscalendar.com/blog/).
    3. Check out this page for updates once in a while: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/

all of your plugins become fully compatible with WPML?

Yes, that is the goal. We do not have a timeline for completion, simply because there are so many other great features that are being requested all the time.

To make a long story short, we go by popular demand.

Right now, the votes for Community Events are on the low end of things.
If you have not already voted, please do so here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/10048827-community-event-frontend-ticket-submision-wpml-s

For now it is a bit weired with the community events add events functions. For some of our event organizers (e.g. in China and Germany) it is working perfectly. While others in the US geht error 500 after adding on event.
Any idea what could be the reason for that?

That is very odd. I totally understand how this can create worry!

Just to clarify is this with or without WPML activated ?

Error 500 messages are usually produced when:

    1. There is an issue with the .htaccess file
    2. A request is “too much” for the server to handle

It is hard to say for sure at this point. But, I am noticing that your PHP max execution time is set to -1 !

That might prove very problematic for users that are not on your continent (i.e.: US-based customers). Would you mind trying to increase that to 300 to see if it helps ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Lewis and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

the links “All Eventos”, “Previous Eventos” and ” Next Eventos” have mixed contents both in English and Spanish.

There could be a couple of reasons for that:

    1. If a language file for our plugin is found under /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ it will bypass the language files found in our plugins /lang folder. If that is the case, you’ll need to update these files using the POT file with Poedit (Catalog > Update from Pot file) OR delete these files
    2. It is possible that the language file found in our plugin’s /lang/ folder might actually not be updated. In that case, you can grab the latest version from here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects and overwrite the language file
    3. Finally, there is the possibility that your theme might be taking over some of these translations. Could you tell me which theme and what version of that theme you are using ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon George,

Thank you for the system information (somehow it seems to be missing certain parts, but that should suffice for now).

Could you tell me which version of Enfold you are using ? If it is 3.8.4 or more, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

Other than that, here is what I would recommend:

    1. Completely deactivate and delete the Events Calendar Pro (it should not have any impact, but you can always do a database backup for good measure)
    2. Head over to your downloads page and grab a copy of the Events Calendar Pro 4.3.4 https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
    3. Install the zip file by using the Plugins > Add new menu in WP-Admin

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good afternoon Marcel and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you are facing while using our plugins with Visual Composer.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Unfortunately, it looks like the issue Monty is having was not linked to this thread.

    Would you mind:

    1. Pasting the link to the thread in question here ?
    2. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    Good afternoon Steve,

I am glad we have found a fair solution to your issue.
I totally understand where you are coming from and please know we did not intend the experience to be unpleasant for you.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

As for a multi-site license for Event Aggregator, it is too early to say.
I guess it will depend on the need (popular demand) for it.

With that in mind, we are definitely keeping an ear to the ground to make sure we can answer our customers needs while streamlining our product line to make things as simple as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and you should find your additional licenses in your account.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Arjan,

I am glad this helped you make progress towards achieving the desired result.

With that in mind, let’s dig deeper to try to understand why things are not working quite as expected.

To achieve that, I have a couple of follow-up questions:

    1. Can you give me the URL of the page where you are trying to do that ?
    2. Can you provide me with a screenshot of the “Edit Page” screen for that page ?

    Hang in there!

    Have a great day!
