Can't set Filter in Widget Event List

Hi,
I’m new with The Events Calendar and i have a question about the Widget Event list
When I add the Widget Event List on a page (maybe not the way to do it :D). I can’t set a filter by category. See screenshot (Screenshot is in Dutch). When I add the Widget to the sidebar a can set a filter.

What I want to achieve is a summary list of upcoming events of a particular category

If you want to add the event list directly on a page filtered by category, the simplest way would be to use the appropriate shortcode: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/

As you can see, using a shortcode such as

[tribe_events_list category="tickets-available"]

should do the trick.

You can even embed the complete list view in a page if you prefer: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

Hi Geoff B,

That seems to work. The only avenue now that he put it all over the page and that there is no more connection between the texts. See screenshot. It is a blank page without other acts or things. At the bottom is activated Widget and that view I would get only with a category.

With that in mind, let’s dig deeper to try to understand why things are not working quite as expected.

To achieve that, I have a couple of follow-up questions:

1. Can you give me the URL of the page where you are trying to do that ?
2. Can you provide me with a screenshot of the “Edit Page” screen for that page ?

Hi geoff,

Sorry for my late response. A busy week.

I think I’ve solved the problem. I’m also using SiteOrigin Page Builder and that the problem.
I changed the settings and now it works.
