MemberGood evening Monique and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual. Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have experienced while trying to install the Events Calendar Pro. I would love to help you with this topic.
Based on your description of the issue, what seems to be going on is that you are trying to enter the license key of the Events Calendar Pro in the Event Aggregator license box.
To fix this, you need to download, install and activate the the Events Calendar Pro plugin on top of your normal the Events Calendar plugin. This will add a new box under the license key page.
You can simply follow the instructions found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

We’ll be glad to answer your questions.I also wish to be able to identify which events the members have elected to go to as well as show other members which of their fellow members are attending the different events.
This is possible by using the Events Calendar in combination with either Event Tickets (free) or Event Tickets Plus
Both of these plugins allow you to do display the attendee list as part of the event details.
The main difference between the 2 plugins is well summarized on the Event Tickets Plus page: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

We’ll be glad to answer your questions.1. are there fields where customers can send messages to me such as where they would like to sit, or other custom information
There are two ways to tackle this:
- Since you are using WooCommerce, you could use order notes during checkout for that purpose
- Event Tickets Plus also includes the ability to capture additional attendee information you could use a text field (or many) to capture that info. You can even decide if you want to make these fields mandatory or not: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/
2. do you have a way they would have to click a checkbox and make it mandatory for a waiver before they could complete their purchase?
Yes, you can use either the additional attendee information functionality OR the overall WooCommerce store’s terms and conditions for that purpose.
3. Do you have a good theme you recommend to use with both of these items you have? I am going to switch out my theme and I am tired of themes being buggy with important plugins. This will be the most important plugin on my site.
This is a matter of personal preference of course, but a lot of our customers seem to like one of the following themes: Divi, Avada and EventicaLet me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Alan,
First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual.Combined with our annual team retreat, that added up to a very long reply time.
Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.I believe I might have miscommunicated my suggestion.
What I was suggesting is to create multiple tickets for the event:- Single tickets
- Family tickets (in increments of 4, not minimum 4)
Since you can have a global stock when using several tickets for an event, this should work perfectly and let people add single tickets to their orders (should they want to).

MemberGood evening Sean,
This can be accomplished by doing a template override (custom template view) of single-event.php.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.
The good news is that there are several of our customers that have achieved this and that were kind enough to share:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/get-list-of-recurring-events-into-single-events-php/
- https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/displaying-all-events-that-are-in-the-same-series-as-the-displayed-single-even/
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Mona,
First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual. To make matters even worst, this coincided with our annual team retreat which makes up for an overall really long reply time.
Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things. You could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/4ccef04ab841c0be2e1083b0733057cd
But first to be extra safe, before making any changes to your functions.php file, you should make a backup of that file.
Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic.1- Which format ticket will be send to the purchaser? I want to send as a pdf format.
The basic ticket is an HTML email containing a QR code.
We do however have an extension that allows you to send a PDF attachment version of the ticket as well: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/pdf-tickets/2- Can we customize the ticket like adding promotional stuffs, logo on it etc
Yes, the ticket is fully customizable (just like most of our views). You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
3- Can we add discount on a ticket?
Absolutely. In the end tickets are WooCommerce simple virtual products.
This means that all of the transactional aspect of tickets is handled by WooCommerce (including discount capabilities).4- Can we export attendee list?
Yes you can: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/
5- Will ticket sent automatically to the purchaser?
This is up to you. You get to control when the ticket is sent by the settings at the very bottom of the Events -> Settings -> Tickets page.
But yes, tickets can be sent automatically (or not).
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

We are sorry to hear about the recurring events not working as expected on your website.
I would love to help you with this topic. Can you tell me if the recurring events show up in the back-end (in the events list) ?
Would you mind going to Events -> Settings -> General and checking what your setting is for Create recurring events in advance for ?
Can you try re-saving your permalinks ?
Finally, can you try completely emptying the cache from your caching plugin (these can sometimes get in the way) ?Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic. To style the front-end you cannot truly use a normal template override (as you would for other views). This is because the front-end login is handled by wp_router.
Many of our customers simply use a plugin such as theme my login (which overrides wp_router). This has the added benefit of providing a ton more control over your user experience as well.
Check it out here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/
Let me know if that helps.

MemberBonsoir Brigitte,
Salutations,

I would love to help you with this topic. There are two ways to accomplish this:
- By creating a custom view override for the single event view. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- By using good old CSS
Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
.single #tribe-events-footer .tribe-events-sub-nav, .single #tribe-events-header .tribe-events-sub-nav {display: none !important}Let me know how that goes.
